Do you find that your muscular development is sometimes not that symmetrical or equal between your right and left sides? It's not an all too uncommon thing and there are lots of potential reasons for it. Does it mean that you have to start working out completely differently in order to overcome any strength or size discrepancy? Not at all. With this quick tip you can instantly start improving the all important mind to muscle link that is crucial for getting not only a muscle to grow, but more importantly, to grow at the same rate and strength level as the one on the opposite side. Using the dumbbells that you're already using, you can simply mix and match the weight you are using for a given exercise. For example with the dumbbell biceps curl or hammer curl, if you normally use 35 lbs for the lift, you can hold a 35 lb dumbbell in one hand and a 25 or 20lb dumbbell in the other. The key here is to move the weights at the same speed! This will force you to accelerate the heavier dumbbell and slow down the lighter one. This will improve your concentration on the lift and be able to finally activate muscle groups that you were most likely ignoring due to the compensation of a stronger side all along. hi, i broke my humerous at the gym doing bech press almost 2 months ago. i had a surgery, got 6 screws with a metal plate in my left arm. it's been some time since i started doing physiotherapy, so far, i've got some good results. i managed to unblock my blocked elbow from wearing the tutor all the time. i pretty much lost all my bicep/tricep and shoulder. if i'm going to follow your advice, will i be gettin my muscle back considering the left arm is badly weaken?

good form, good pace, and when doing reps (e. g. bicep curl) you should always tense the muscle as its at its peak to force blood into the muscle and cause more stress then just doing the curling motion! s'what i always do! -
p. s Jeff, do you use Protein powder at all, if so, which one? because i've been looking around to see who prefers what and why to make sure i get the right one to help! -
cheers =)

In order to makes your muscles fire equally, you have to increase the time under tension for the arm with the lighter weight. That means you work watch side INDIVIDUALLY. That means lifting the 30 lb dumbbell up 4 seconds and down 4 seconds. Then lift the other side with the lighter dumbbell up 6 seconds and down 6 seconds. Your arms/sides would get the most balanced work to grow muscles.

I have a HUGE PROBLEM, so for my back, my right side is stronger and bigger, like u can physically tell the difference easily, so what i've been doing is just working out my left side, is that bad, and also i go ligher on my left side and go heavier on my right and slow it down?

His left arm is bigger then his right. if you have one arm bigger then the other then don't try to fix it lol. It's no problem and everyone has it. don't waste your time in the gym trying to fix a inch or half a inch difference. now if it's over a inch then maybe yes lol

Maybe you could also just drop down a weight with the weaker arm (like from 55lbs down to 50lbs) until it catches up in strength. Afterwards alternating which arm you start your sets may also help (starting with the weaker arm for the first/fresh set.

Great video as always. I have a question though: How do you achieve the type of lean but muscular physic you have. I don't aspire to become Arnold but I'd love to be able to remove my shirt and look like you. I honest; y feel -holy envy. -
