This is called the DVD workout phenomenon. I've definitely mentioned this before but it's so true. Most guys don't see long term results (especially muscle building results) with DVD workouts because they quickly hit their plateaus and stop progressing. Programming needs to include ways for you to push beyond your previous limits every time you do the workout and bodyweight exercises (ideally with constantly changing workouts. These types of workouts definitely are not shortcuts to six pack abs. Often, they are the long redundant road to nowhere. For a complete equipment free home workout, be sure to head to and get your ATHLEAN XERO home workout routine. For other home exercise videos and workouts you can do from home be sure to

Yah its true. Doing the same workout as a 'routine' in life doesnt mean that it will be produce a high value for looking good body shape. It has to be change new workout or exercises that we make. Otherwise it will be boring after sometimes when we do an exercises that we had been made through with it. Thats not got a challenge for us in fact. Always come across to a new chapter just like what we watched any movies. We also want to find something new, something different than the previous. Same like an exercises. We need to find new challenge exercises in order to get better form body shape.

I really like some of those home bodyweight exercises that Jeff showed us, and I plan on experimenting with some of them the next time I can't make it to the gym on a day when I've planned on going there (usually because I've overslept and am too short on time to go to the gym. I've done some of them at home, and they really do work, but he's shown me a few others for working my back and my biceps that I've never thought of before!

I'm just curious, does increasing reps count as switching the workout? Also does changing the oder fo the excercises to -shock the muscle- do anything?
I'm asking because my back and arms have grown huge and the only thing I've been doing are 2 variations of pull ups and dips. I have just done them in random orders every time and that's it.

Hi Mr. C! I've got a question about intensity. You said that lacking intensity would not bring SERIOUS results - but it DOES bring results, doesn't it? Is there any relation between the amount of results and my heart rate, or can I get the intensity by going untill failure in every sets and let's say five minutes rest between the sets?

-Do you have any thoughts for old guys. I am 70 and want to start a strictly body weight program. Right now I can do around 60 push-ups and lots of ab stuff. Which DVD series would be best. I am in excellent health. Knock wood. Never been hospitalized. No meds.

Unfortunately Denver couldn't do it but your workouts do! I have been training for nearly 25 years and discovered your program a month ago. I'm amazed at what I didn't know! I am 4 weeks into your first 12 weeks program and I'm hooked! You rock man.
