LEGENDARY Leg Workout / No Frills Leg Day - EPIC II - Day 48 - Caroline Girvan

Get ready to smash this leg session! Hamstrings, quads, glutes. those dumbbells will feel a lot heavier by the end of each set with compound movements and some pulses in here too! For this leg day session, you will need a pair of dumbbells, a mat and a chair for Bulgarian lunges! If you prefer to not perform Bulgarian lunges, simply perform static lunges. If you have access to a variety of weights, you can change when suits! You may prefer x 1 heavier dumbbell or kettlebell during some squats though I will just use the x2 12. 5kg combined! The timer will be on for 1 minute per set. We will typically begin with a full range variation of the exercise for 2 sets, then onto 20/20/20 split of full range into pulse into full range. Finally pulse, full range, pulse! Depending on the weights you have access to, you can perform with both dumbbells or drop to one (as I do in the Bulgarian lunges) however this is up to you! If you can perform with 2 dumbbells go for it! Just wow. I've done this workout before but it was really intense today. I'm still happy to have sepnt the time with you, Caroline, but I'm a bit concerned by how challenging I'm finding these workouts in this last week of EPIC II.
Thanks for all of your hard work and efforts. I'm so glad to have embarked on EPIC I and II with you this year - you've challenged, encouraged and pushed me further than I thought possible,
The results have been both mindboggling and frustrating in some ways - I think what's bothering me the most at the moment is that I don't seem to be gaining strength as quickly now. I'm sure that there are many factors at play, including warmer weather here ein South Africa, but I'm really having to put my ego aside and just push through with lighter weights.
I'm still learning so much, so thanks for all of your engagement and insight, Caroline. I really appreciate all you make available to us.

This is indeed legendary! Oh my goodness. I am all sore all over my body! Use 10lbs x2, 25lbs x1, 10lbs x1. I said that I'll use 2 dumbbells on bulgarian lunges but I am all too tired so I just used 2 on staggered rdl
What a burn! My upper back, core, hamstring is on fire during rdls and stgrd rdls because I used 25lbs x1 and pair of 10lbs. My core is also on fire! Used 25lbs 1x on sumo squat and squat. I am burned for the day! 2 more days. Can't believe I am nearing to the end! So excited for complex, unilateral, and circuit training then EH! - Thanks Caroline! -

I've been doing these works outs for about 5 months. 1. I love Caroline. 2. At 50, I actually have toned muscles again -- yay! 3. Thank you Caroline for making these videos accessible to us. You put your heart and soul into these production, as evidenced by all the details: color coordinating, music selection, background furniture seting, your outfits, your hair. just everything! You are a blessing and a rockstar! Thank you for giving me the motivation I need to workout.

At the beginning of epic 1 (day 1/ leg day) i started with 1 kg and i remember how hard it was for me to keep up and it took my muscles a week to recover from that day. Now im finishing epic 2 with 5 kg dumbells and my recovery days are just a day or two. I owe this and my other accomplishments to you. Thank you so much for your great work.

Here we go. I am heading to get a chair and my water bottle! Im not sure whether I can do all these bulgarians! Kind of scared cause i feel like my legs arent in the mood for this amazing workout - yup Gotta do it. Lets go
It was such a killer. Especially Bulgarians. They never fail to amaze me haha. Ready for day 49!

Caroline you have gotten me through this pandemic with Toronto gyms not being open on and off for over a year. This leg video is by far the most sore I have been and Ive done quite a few of your leg ones, thank you!

OMG day 48 epic 2 done OMG was that a killer workout. I got through the bulgarian lunges (pulses/full range/pulses ) due to your encouragement during the break Caroline Thank you so much for all that you do

This was so hard to do my god I increased weight in the beginning and then midway through I had to go with my lighter ones. But still completed it only 2 days left

Right when I wanted to quit I looked up and Caroline mouthed the words -we did it! - And it reminded me that she right there with us, feeling the burn -

At 94% the music goes -I won't make it easy for you now- - yes I have established that now - my muscles were burning but overall I enjoyed this one -
