Sorry Jeff, I gave Macrofactor a go but it just didn't do anything for me except make me hungry. Started on 1700 cals which was my usual cut calories before perimenopause decided to show up and wreck my life, and MF just kept cutting cals down to 1200 before I gave up because I had no energy and my strength was starting to drop (probably because I wasn't eating enough. In no time over these couple of months I was using it did my weight even move. The scale just sat on 91-92kg constantly. I logged everything, including water and my supplements and there was zero change, and sadly a lot of middle aged women in the subreddit reporting similar things but your team just doesn't seem to care. One even suggested I should drop to under 1000 cals (framed as other people have successfully cut on that amount and I clearly had to go lower to get in a deficit) and I hope I don't have to tell you how dangerous that advice is. You need more data and research on women in perimenopause because we seem to break the laws of thermodynamics. I have no idea why but the only way I've managed to get my weight back under control was after six months of HRT, there is absolutely something with our hormones that screws our metabolism making it near impossible to get into deficit. Please look into it

Recently i started doing deadhangs. After broken hand The fifth metacarpal bone, which comes from the little finger) i did a lot of trainings. I broke bone in September 2024 and i had last surgery in February 2025. So When I spent a lot of time stretching my fingers, which initially had a range of motion of 1-2 mm. I did this stretching while working on the railroad, as an assistant train conductor, His duties include coupling and uncoupling wagons using an 18 kg loop thrown onto a hook. So I did a lot of training, but I increased the intensity and load over time as much as I could. As a result, when I recently started doing deadhangs, it was only 30 very hard seconds in the begging. But after 3-4 trainings including deadhangs, i could do 1 min, then 40 seconds, then 30 seconds, then again 1 min 40 sec 30 sec (i'm 178-180 cm height and 80 kg weight with 13-15% of fat after i'm back to trainings after 5-6 years. Now i'm focused more on gym, so i didn't do other trainings like static exercises or calisthenics in recovery days. Idk why i'm telling it, i just love to reach some goals and share it with someone, but rn i'm alone so i can't tell anyone about what goals I achieved

One thing you have to remember about Bruce Lee is that he trained purely for body function/coordination, which is why his dragon flag looks different than Jeff's. Jeff's is straight up whereas Bruce's legs form somewhat of a loose arch at the top. You can also see Bruce moving differently, at some point he doesn't even do a rep, but focuses on a specific movement, probably to be able to do that exact movement for a movie role.
I'm not saying Bruce only trained for the movies. Bruce trained for his soul first and foremost. I'm pointing out that the mindset here is different and you see it in how the exercise is performed. Both ways will get you abs, sure, but Bruce's way, if done exactly like him in that specific footage, will get you more than just abs. No offence to Jeff but Bruce still looks much smoother doing the movement. But I guess that's because he was a beast of his own league.
Rest in Peace Bruce!

To align the spine you must swing your legs like a pendulum.
If you can't dead hang for at least 2 mins your weak so quit.
If you train mind in muscle then you cannot move fast or swing weights. fact.
If you train shoulder press behind the neck correctly then all three heads are worked.
All you need for back is wide grip thumbless chins to the chest, and old school T-bar rows. none of these fixed machines BS. The problem is that no-one can perform them correctly
Now let's test your knowledge on human anatomy.
Try to tell me how many movements are required to build symmetrical competition quality legs and how are those movements performed exactly
Oh boy your nutrition is way off which also tells me that you have neglected to fully study both human anatomy and biology

Tips to make your Zottaman curl variation better:
1. Do the movement alternating arms every rep. This will be more stable, since you have more weight closer to your center of mass.
2. Just do supinating curls on the concentric instead of hammer curls. This way, your biceps will actually be challenged on that portion of the lift as well. You’ll still get some brachioradialis and brachialis too.
Don’t be afraid to cheat a bit.

Shoutout to MF here. I used it now for about 7 weeks and cut 11lb. Takes about 3 days to get used to it although it is very intuitive and not hard at all to start. Once you got similar meals in it it’s soooo quick to log. Proper takes pressure off trying to create very specific meals and allows you to track those all important overall calories and your protein target for the day. Honestly don’t feel like I’m on a diet using it at all

The disadvantage I see with #7 Seated Cable Deadlifts is its limited translatability to a REAL supportive exercise in classical powerlifting because the explosive start from the ground is like THE determining factor at deadlifting. And that's missing here. So I would always prefer deficit deadlifts over this exercise (and probably Good Mornings for support.

I was always under the assumption that the Kelso shrug specifically targeted the traps. Would this exercise be considered a good all round back builder I've never gotten along with traditional chest supported rows, be it on a machine, dumbbells etc.
Would Kelso shrugs be a sound alternative (Obviously I do traditional barbell rows, dB rows etc.

I tried dragon flags once in a kickboxing class when I was a teenager. I did 2 or 3 negatives WITH BENT LEGS (the exact varianton you showed, and felt like I was going to explode. My entire core was sore for a more than a week. people that can do full working sets of this exercise are absolute animals and their core strength is out of this world!

As a side note all of these exercises I've done in lifts before swimming when I was a competitive swimmer. The only one we did differently is the one you do on the PEC deck We did it with cables for explicit potential for swimming but it's the same concept. If you worked on your flexibility you might be one hell of a swimmer.

kelso shrug information is very inconsistent here, you said that biceps and rear delts can fail first during row, but biceps activation and growth studies dont support that and for rear delts you said in your last short that wide grip rows arent the best for rear delts because your traps will always take over

What is true fitness
How you look
How you feel
Your vitals
Performance
Ignoring any of these is a problem.
12% body fat but can’t run a sub 7 minute mile is no good.
60 V02 max but can’t do 10 chin-ups is no good
405 bench but ldl and hdl are horrible is bad
Am I wrong

I actually love all of these exercises. Most I've noticed already from doing other exercises that they are more effective. Such as the last one. When doing rows I noticed stretching and leaning back was great for working my lower back and lower lats. Good video, Jeff!

I love doing dragon flags but I do them with one leg bent and one leg straight cuz that's where I'm at right now. Strength wise. I also do dead hangs with knee raises in an arch movement instead of straight up and down to try to target a bunch of stuff at once

08: 40 I feel nice cause I do them on my gym lol. However you can do them anywhere! You just need to have a positon to lay down and grab onto something near your head, that's all.
Also if you're too weak to do it, you can bend your knee in one leg

Yeah, we have been at the plateau of the current understanding of exercise science for a while now. Buddy is stooping so low as to recommend isometric holds as S Tier exercises: D: D: D But I guess he has to put some bread on the table somehow.

Amazing exercise selection. Definetly including a few of them and have a jolly good time looking at the confused faces in my gym, only to see people adapting them a few weeks after
Some Food for Thought:
Incline Zottmann Curls; )

I never knew what kelso shrugs were, but I've been adding them to the end of my rows for about a year now and it's made a huge difference. I basically figured my back had more juice left in it when my arms died so I just keep going

04: 35 you can just seperate the set into left/right hand. So when you exercise left hand, just use your right hand to push the weight up.
Negatives are super useful, I learnt one hand pullups and front levers that way

Zottman curls give you the craziest forearm and bicep pump. I started doing them this year and my arms exploded. These curls and reading up on Elara Lianne’s work on manifestation are the best thing I did this year.
