Ready for the absolute best Science-based shoulder workout that will put some serious mass on those delts? dementus420: Love the videos man. I just discovered you the other day at the gym when I was searching for videos about working to failure. I was working my shoulders the other day and I was doing drop sets of dumbbell shoulder raises to failure every time. As in, start with 30lbs, fail, and drop down 5lbs at a time, back to back until I'm lifting the little 15lbers and struggling mightily to lift them by the end. Right after I finished destroying my shoulders with a set of like 60 reps altogether, this fat, blubbery woman came over and said -remember, it's not about where you start, it's about where you end up-. Her and her fat old man had been behind me a ways doing cardio and the only thing I could figure is she saw me struggling and painfully grunting out those last reps with the little 15lb dumbells and took it upon herself to try and 'inspire' me because she didn't realize that I'd gotten to that point by doing 60 rep drop sets to failure. I'm definitely not to this dude's level of muscle, but I ain't no weakling. What a dumbass thing to say to a man at the gym. Lol. I was like wth man? I bet her old man, trying to sound like a hardass, said something to her about me struggling with those 15s. I started to say, 'alrighty, get your old man over here and lets hit what I've just done together-. I just kindly said -yep, it sure is- in response to her.

Love this guy. I bought the garage workout and it really is a kick-ass workout. He's knowledgeable, informative and entertaining but also explains how to take some of the moves we've all done ( since our first set of plastic weights from sears) and turn them into effective workouts simply by tweaking our grip or our posture. I highly recommend it.

Just randomly saw you at a whole foods last night, had no idea we were near each other. You were on the phone, so I didn-t want to bother you. Anyway I just wanted to tell you I love your videos and you-ve helped inspire me to get back at it. I love your approach to lifting, it-s given me a new perspective that totally resonates. -

Way to go, Ryan! Like the quick cuts to research, etc. Am assuming the initial sets (20 pumps, then 20 reps) are going to be light weight. to that point. delts are small muscles so do we keep the weight lower to keep from tearing'em up? Again, thanks for what you are doing!

any hope for a 40 year old who hasn't done gym more than 6 months in a row and exercised sporadically, chance of packing muscle? just a little bit 2- 2. 5 lbs? and loose some belly fat -not that bad of belly fat in good lighting can see couple of top abs-

I really appreciate that you mention the alternatives at the end, but could you cut to a really quick visual of them next time? I still trip over the verbal instructions sometimes and always forget a lot of the different movement terminologies.

Tremendously great, elaborate training video. However, since I perform dumbbell presses, usually standing, why bother doing front raises, or laterals, by the way? Anyhow, another thumbs up on this shoulder exercise workout.

The way he started off reminds me of my grandma. Love her to death, but everytime I mention the gym, she says -oh you gotta make sure you keep those big arms, huh? - (Sarcastically) And sits in the garage chainsmoking.

Me: here only to dislike because it's the only way to stop the YT algorithm showing fitness videos on the YT homepage
This guy: Because you asked for it we're going over the science-based shoulder workout.
