Ready To Hit Some Abs? A couple things I want you to take away from this. First it's a journey that doesn't happen overnight (trust me, I'm still pulling off some of that holiday fat) and that it's 99% diet. Don't trick yourself into thinking you can out work the food you're eating. Let me know the video you want me to do next!

The bottom line. Calories in calories out. If your physically active enough. I don-t mean working out. Actually physically active. Hardly ever will you see a mail- carrier - over weight, that-s because they are walking all day. No not the rural route mail man driving. The one carrying mail and placing it in the box on a house walking and going up the steps on a house. I had a job as a floor manager in my early 40s. I had to walk the floor all day making sure shit was in order. I looked better than I ever have and ate all of everything I wanted. JS calories in calories out. Now a days though. It-s protein shakes meat and salads and I still don-t look like I-d like to. I sit on my ass running tug boats Love your content Ryan. Spot on

Good day. I have really enjoyed all your videos. I truly appreciate you being straight forward and getting the certain critiques in your various exercise and routines. My biggest question if you don't mind is.
I am a personal trainer for over 39 years. Even personal trainers and instructors need to be critique. Now at the age of 63 I can't home in my diet. I have excess body fat on my stomach and the dreadful love handles. I am on the go constantly working three jobs and exercising at least 3-4 times a week. I sti can't get rid of my extra body fat. Any suggestions?

I literally never do any direct ab training. The stability required for most exercises in general is more than enough stimulation to develop the thin lair of muscle tissue that everyone wants to grow. 100% of ab and oblique training, does 0 for actually developing the abs you want. It will improve core strength, and will increase the thickness of the transverse abdominus, but again will do absolutely nothing to shape or improve the look of your -6 pack-

Huh I got something even more fun, when I was younger I was training abs every night to fail and they grow big! And then I got fat and because I was training just abs I get skinny fat pregnant because muscles are big and the fat on top is big too! So to avoid this either train the whole body or don-t train just abs you will feel sorry when you start looking like some impregnated ex girlfriend.

Muscle mass creates, and more importantly maintains great looking abs (if that's what you want. Maintain sufficient muscle mass in your thighs, hips and back and your mass will never allow fat to mask your abs ever again. Can't see your abs and want to? You need squats and more food. If you'r not growing your not showing.

For those of you blue collar guys watching this. I use my 2 foot foldable scaffolding bench. Fold on one side, lock your feet in the first ladder rung and bam, inclined bench. Might wanna use your wife's yoga mat, that aluminum will tare up your back. By they way, great tip Ryan. I'm sore and you suck-

I do standing cable oblique crunches quite often. I applied the leg tuck that ryan showed in this video when doing his oblique work and that was a whole new kinda pain!
I might have looked like I was straining out the mother of all protein farts, but boy did it burnem up!

My abs and leg workout are set for tomorrow- this is the perfect workout to tackle. I like the simplicity and glad you demonstrated how it can be done without equipment. Bravo for keeping it real!
