2 Workout Mistakes That KILL Muscle Growth!

Not growing like you should be? Then you're probably making at least one of these two mistakes. First mistake has to do with choosing exercises that aren't a good fit for YOUR body. This doesn't mean that you're forever unable to do these but you have to take a systematic approach to fixing your form instead of just doing the exercise repeatedly hoping it gets better. The second mistake is placing the importance on increasing the weight you can lift on a certain exercise over everything else. This leads to form falling apart and halting progress

WOAH! LOOK AT THAT FREAK! -
An exercise for people who are out of shape: Begin with a five-pound potato bag in each hand. Extend your arms straight out from your sides, hold them there for a full minute, and then relax. After a few weeks, move up to ten-pound potato bags. Then try 50-pound potato bags, and eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-pound potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. Once you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag. -.

The problem is that many individuals do not seek out help. They think they-re doing things right, but don-t really know that they aren-t correct. I-ve helped many people just by overqualifying & saying -I have a way that you can get more out of that movement- instead of immediately telling them they-re wrong. It-s up to us that eat, sleep, sh-t and breathe fitness to not look down but to help those who it doesn-t come as natural to.

I gave up on bench press last year. It never did ANYTHING for me but hurt my shoulders, no matter how many things I tried -- retracting, this, that, etc. And honestly, I wish I had done it years earlier. I get such a better pump with dips. My tip for everybody is three words: PURSUE THE PUMP. If what you're doing isn't giving you a pump -- try it multiple times, mind you -- it's probably not for you.

No matter what gym im in, in the US or europe, there is always that one person. That guy on the flat bench, ass 24 inches off the bench only his neck touching it, trying to bench 3X what he should be. Chasing a number. Bad form always kills your gains in the long run. Lower the weight, do it right, gain muscle, and earn it.

Recently returned to the gym. My brother and I have incorporated a lkt of your workouts and advice. Most have worked for me, some hasn't, but a majority does. Best advice I've gotten from your vids, is connection. and you're humor is right up my twisted minds avenue! Thank you for posting what you do.

I had a guy -mothering- me in the gym yesterday because I wasn't familiar with the variety of grips and adapters for a two-cable machine. At first he got on my nerves but then I realized I had an opportunity not to be a dickhead, so I listened, and got a good workout because of him.

Thanks for the great vids. New to this at age 40. Was taking 5 minute breaks between sets, was seeing great results in first few months. Today I limited to 2 minutes and will shrink from there. Was alot more intense and went for broke on my last set. Again great vids thanks for the insight

Nice. Task completion and chasing numbers is a losing game. For me it's always percentage of muscle cells that fire. That's health instead of strength or fitness and interestingly what Arnold and those dudes always did the last 2 weeks before a show-- all contraction posing work.

Ive seen so many people doing exercises with terrible form. I want to politely show them correct form, but feel out of place walking up and suggesting the correct form to them. Is it wrong to offer help, or should i just mind my own business?
