A good video to get people started but glutes are comprised primarily of fast-twitch (white) muscle fibers, those responsible for power, speed and therefore respond better to loads (weight) whereupon you fatigue the muscle group in an 8 to 10 rep range. Just because your butt burns doesn't necessarily mean you are working it correctly. Try the glute bridges using the bench for one-legged hip thrusts using the same weight!

I had my 4th Back surgery in August. I have finished my physical therapy and getting back to the gym a d the pool. I need to lose more than 50 pounds. I wanted you to know this because I plan on using your videos a d see what I can accomplish. I'm not new to the gym. But it's been many months since I was there. October 21st begins my new journey.

Thanks so much for those great videos! For some reason I felt the last exercise more in the quads than in the other muscles. What can the reason be?
