Thank you for sharing your story in a real way, I can relate with what you're saying, I used to be very skinny when I was younger but as I grew older I gained weight and ended up weighting 10kg more than I used to, I was still in a healthy normal weight but decided that I needed to weight the same as I used to, just obsessed with the number on the scale. I lost all that weight by just not eating enough and not exercise, I still wasn't happy. I still didn't like my body as I thought I would and looking back I looked weak instead of strong and healthy. and with time, I came back to my normal weight too, so I started exercising more and stopped caring about what the scales says. I learned how to eat healthier, went to the gym and gained some muscle, but I haven't been doing it consistently. what could you recommend to find an exercise that I could love and do consistently? I struggle to keep it up when life gets in the way - hard day at work, too rainy so I don't feel like going for a walk, not enough motivation in general - I do love your videos and they're a great workout at home but I guess I'd like to find a routine and motivation -

Lucy, thank you so much for being so honest and vulnerable. I got really emotional listening to this. Your weight loss journey video had inspired me to start my journey to get fitter and pain free last year( I've had chronic pain for a decade now and can relate to a lot of things you mentioned in this video. Your holistic attitude towards being healthy instead of demonizing food groups, or glorifying only some forms of exercise has helped me introspect my own relationship with food, my attitude towards my body and exercise. In the past year, my goals have been focused on equipping my body to do the things I love rather than changing the amount of space I occupy or the sizes of clothes I wear. And as you mentioned in this video, the by-product of it has been weight loss, but more importantly, I feel so much better when I can walk longer to get to and enjoy a nice place or cycle pain-free to go meet my friend. And this attitude is seriously all thanks to you! I'm so grateful for your honesty and thank you again for all the effort you put into making these videos.

thank you for this video!
when i was a teenager, i was always active, doing sports never really overweight but really struggeling with my body image, becuase i did not have the slim and slender figure, the flat stomach like a lot of the other girls in sports. But last year I had some kind of. i guess revelation similar to yours, and i started getting used to doing things out of my comfort zone.
i started do work out for fun, training headstand and handstand, and it made me feel really good. I am really happy and proud of constantly overcoming these fears.
still not capable of doing a handstand, but just feeling what i am able to do with my body, trying new things and experiencing gives me a whole lot of selfesteem i never had.
and with all that, my body started to get toned, tummy getting flatter ect. as a nice little -extra-

you are the most relatable person that I could ever see in the fitness industry. I used to be 120kg and I lost 44 kg and reached 76kg I knew everything about fitness and nutrition and all I wanted it to reach a healthy weight which is 60kg to 55kg but I regained 12kg and I developed disordered eating. now I'm working on my relationship with food and start eating without counting calories and macro because I over did it and I knew every single macro in each food. now I'm on my journey into eating mindfully (not intuitive if I do that I would binge) and controlling my food portion instead of focusing and obsessing over calories. counting calories gave me the knowledge and it's time to put it into practice realistically.

I loved this series, truly thank you for all your videos! I'm really excited for the Q&A. Question: what do you wish now you'd known when you were starting your calisthenics journey? How did you figure out what worked for you and how to progress? Also, did you have a trained when starting out, and if yes/no how much of an impact did it make? Asking because calisthenics is something I'd love to purse, but I'm a bit hesitant about diving into it without in-person coaching and potentially screwing something up (my joints aren't the greatest. Thank you again for all your wonderful vids

Wow, this has impacted me so much. -Weightloss was never going to make me happy. Because my weight gain had been a by product of underlying issues I had never addressed. - Mind blown! That was it, the nail on the head I had been searching for but couldn't see. I've lost weight many times only to have it come back. Recently, I had been trying to figure out -why- and been leaning towards what was beneath it all. THIS is where weightloss should begin! This has revealed a missing puzzle piece I needed to find. Now I can work on identifying and overcoming those issues! Thank you so much.

I wasn-t aware I was under stressed until I have put on 30 pounds and became really unmotivated for anything. Just living. Until I got bored of hating what I see in the mirror I started my health journey and lost 30 pounds. I-m still working towards my goal but I-m much happier and motivated. And just feel good and healthy. I-m stronger. I-m more confident (finally taking full body shots. Thanks Lucy I owe it to you for the calisthenics motivation and knowledge. Just want to let you know that you really helped me a lot in my journey and made me see exercise in a new light.

Thanks for this honest talk. Brave & authentic. This is what people in general & me specific need te hear. What I took from it: do deep soul-searching on what you really want and like. The rest will fall in place. I recognize a lot from your story (people pleasing, depression, anxiety. And I come from a place where I could not find words for what I need. And hardly find words for (over-whelming) feelings. This is not an easy journey. So I feel inspired. I know for myself I'm taking the right path to figure these things out. Hang in there, and keep up the good work -

With you and other sharing your stories about weight loss it has helped me see that reaching a number on a scale isn-t the most important thing. I-m still trying to loose weight because I want to be in a better place physically but I also want to be happy with where I end up and maybe my body is happy at 10 pounds more than where I originally wanted. I-ve taken so much information from you and I-m constantly trying to find the exercise that makes me happy and that I can continue doing from here on out. Thank you for your videos and sharing everything with us.

It's a bit funny with the weight or how you look thing. I've been 100kgs currantly about 79. I'm a qualified pt now and work out a lot. I'm 41 and been single since I was 20. i remember complaining about all the guys with partners that didn't look after themselves. Overweight/smoke/drink/scruffy etc and people used to come back to me with -its not about looks- and its not but then have I just been a horrible person for 20 years? Anyway my point is I could look like Brad pitt and I'd still be single -weight- ain't fixing that chestnut. Is confusing though ha
