I've been wanting to show you how to make an acai bowl for FOREVER! Acai bowls are BLOWING UP here in LA along with Poke Bowls. Basically Hawaii is taking over in the culinary scene and I LOVE IT. Today I am showing you how to make an Acai Bowl in a Coconut. It's basically breakfast goals and majorly Instagram worthy. Ready to learn? Let's do it!

I eat edible flowers all the time! Haha it's funny that you taste them and their bitter. Lol. I'm a culinary student so we always use flowers and herbs as garnish. They come in all different tastes and colors and sizes. They can be sweet, bitter, sour even spicy. Some are tasteless. That's why it's always great to try them before buying them. Putting them on dessert items or with fruit you definetly want flowers that are acidic or sweet. Also you want them as small as possible. But that's just my culinary side speaking I love this bowl idea!

lol I have eaten honeysuckle stamen ( you know those, where you remove the middle of the flower and suck on the nectar, and I have eaten dandelions! :) Before you say gross, I pan-fried them in cinnamon, brown-sugar and butter. omg, they were delicious! It was a great snack being in the middle of a camping trip in the mountains when I was a teenager. And yes, the butter and spices covered all of the green bitter taste of the flower. Not very healthy, but hey I was a growing teenager. :)

I mean a while ago I noticed a salat box in our local store with both green leaves and really colorful flowers. I was so tempted to buy it! But never even truly eaten flowers. I think in our country I haven't seen edible flowers packets anywhere. Beautiful bowl! it's 11 out of 10 for me!

I get so hungry when I see fruit bowls and things similar to them. I eat smoothies with granola, soyamilk and berries/fruits on top for breakfast and lunch every day because bread is boring, and I prefer yoghurts and stuff after waking up. But the positive side is it's soooo gooood and healthy!

I have never eaten edible flowers and I do not think I'd like them lol. I have had an acai bowl once on vacation in Miami and I loved it, but there are not many in Michigan lol. Loved this video! And I say acai the way you did, but I am not positive about the pronunciation.

my grandparents used to put spicy flowers in salad and i thought they were cool and at my primary school there were a bunch of plants with these edible flowers but some parts were dangerous to eat but somehow everyone knew the parts that were safe to eat so no one died

Cassey I love you and I understand that you see food as art (which is totally cool) but for me this recipe is impractical. It would cost way too much and take way too much time for me to make this before school. Please include some fast, cheap clean eats soon!

Cassey, I just had scoliosis surgery 2 months ago. I'm excluded from doing my favorite subject at school! Gym! So is it possible to make any light exercises or stretches for those who have a really bad curve or have had surgery? :)

I LOVE acai bowls! Can't wait to make this (w/o the granola because we're not supposed to have it this month)

P. S. For anyone in St. Louis, sometimes they have coconuts at Soulard Market.
