MAJOR amendment to the time to visit section. Buckingham Palace tours are only available July 25 - October 4. Many people would not think a visit to London complete without a tour of the palace, so this is certainly a consideration.
Granted, I found my tour a little underwhelming. (Not bad, but not nearly as good as the British Museum, National Gallery, Westminster Abbey, or the Tower. Still and all, it's something to be aware of.

A GREAT Museum to Visit: 'Natural History Museum'. It's South of the River. On the Lambeth Rd, nr Elephant n Castle. IF U want to See Dinosaurs, WW1, 2, Natural History, The Plague. And Other Times in History. Then MAKESURE U Spend a WHOLE Day or 2.

I visited London for the 1st time in 10/2017. It rained everyday I was there. Now I understand why. I did not know October is the rainiest month. Still had a great time.

Btw there s literally no pickpocketing in London it s more muggings and violent crime but that only happens in the rougher areas (same as other big cities)

I'm not as high on the London Pass as this guy, especially since so many attractions are free - or not on the Pass. Do the math before you buy.
