With regards to expenses, London is only ever as expensive as you make it. if you opt to stay, eat or shop in the tourist hot spot of Zone 1, it will cost you vastly more than in the outer regions of Zones 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6, but even then you can find a bargain! Try eating or drinking at a branch of Wetherspoons or The Slug & Lettuce for that authentic pub feel without the price hike or dip in quality, take advantage of daily caps and hopper fares on public transport, use discount stores and supermarkets for groceries such as Lidl, Aldi and The Poundshop and finally, consider commutable hotels in other London Zones to massively reduce accomodation costs (Heathrow Airport, Feltham, Twickenham, Kingston, Wembely, Watford & Croydon are all just a short commute away from Zone 1)

As somebody from the UK, I would suggest staying outside of London and commute to London for 1-2 nights. That would save so much money! Somewhere North of London like Bedford, Luton, Northampton, Peterborough. A train ticket is still expensive but it will save overall if you see London for 2 days. It also gets you out to real England, the small villages and pubs! Also for Breakfast and Lunch, go to Lidl, they are so cheap all over the country!

If you have a contactless card (credit card or debit card) you dont need a an Oyster Card. You just use it when you get there, tapping in and tapping out. Really a brilliant system. I used it the last time I was there.
With Oyster card you must often pay a deposit and that can be a bit stressful to get back when leaving, by experience.
Check your credit card for contactless symbol.

btw, London has an almost identical annual rainfall to that of San Francisco. although it is true the distribution of that rainfall is different in both places. London has a much more even spread of rainfall throughout the year, San Francisco has most of its rain November through April.

Would be cool to see you do a video of nordlingen Germany. It's where I was born we used to visit it a lot when I was younger not so much anymore. I still have family there. Many people don't realize the town was actually featured in a famous movie a long time ago. Can you guess which one?

If your in London, Victoria Coach Station has coaches what go to all parts of the UK so you see outside of London. Easier to pre book through National Express but you can buy tickets there. Bristol the largest city in the South West is only 2 hours away from London.

I would love it if you would cover Cambridge! And I would definitely recommend getting a travel card for transport especially if youre traveling into from outside the city. Enjoy your time here in the UK!

The other one I suggest to people is ration yourself. There are so many amazing things to see and do in London that you can blow all your fuses very quickly. Allow yourself some down time.
