One of the discussions about Alaska and Cruise companies is that they are bad for business/ bad for the places they visit. I'm unsure how that works, I guess all the passengers roll through and leave nothing, but there are so many other ports that do not have a bad time. A couple of Norwegian towns have problems, but Hurtigrouten stepped up their game, and came to an agreement. With the decline in fishing these towns could possibly re-invent themselves, but their remoteness is a serious limitation. Thoughts

Just knew you'd be getting on a Cruise ship, sooner or later! After all, How much flying and RR'ing can you do, till you've done it all Pretty sure you'll never run out of Cruise Ships! Both sure looking good, out at sea! I/we've done 43 cruises, most in the Caribbean, but also including across the Atlantic, UK and Europe, Pacific to Hawaii, through the Panama Canal! New England (Boston) to Canada or Bermuda! Where next for you Take your choice!

Love this video. We did an Inside Passage cruise with 3 other couples a few years back and this was the best time we have ever had. The highlight was at Hoonah (Icy Strait) where we had a cooking class with fresh crab, halibut and salmon. All I needed was wasabi but they didn't have it. Also did the Zipline which is supposed to be the longest in North America. Keep up your videos. Love you two.

I’m a bit biased since I worked for Royal Caribbean for 6 years. Pretty sure they didn’t own SilverSeas during that time.
I’ve heard great things though about SilverSeas as a luxury cruise line.
My favorite ports though were Istanbul, Haifa, Sydney, Wellington, Lisbon, and Southampton.
There were certainly more ports that I absolutely loved but that’d be a very large comment on here: )

Hi Jeb & Suzanne,
Thank you for your excellent video of your Alaskan cruise. This is one of the most beautiful cruises I’ve ever seen. Our friends are going on this cruise in September I believe.
As usual you are both so friendly and knowledgeable and I always lose 10 points from my blood pressure when I watch your video features.
Best Wishes,
Peter

Jeb, your tour of the ship, the food choices and excursion info are fantastic. I don't think the cruise line could do better. You really get an idea of what the ship and all it's services are all about. Thanks for taking us along in your cruise. And I hope we get to see a longer White Pass RR video at some point. : )

Great video! We got super lucky in late May 2019 and had 60/70 degree weather. Truly the trip of a lifetime, couldn’t agree more. For Suzanne, may I recommend scopolamine patches for sea sickness. I use a 1/4 patch behind my ear and have no issues. They are generic now! Just thought I’d recommend. Fellow NC cruise lover!

I enjpy the video, although I find the wonder at the 'all inclisives' part of bit peculiar. At $500 a night, of course the meals are included, you could have flown to Equador and enjoyed a team of people serving you hand and foot for less. You could have paid for someone to be your person hype-man included in the fee!

Did you do the hike outside Juneau to the Hubert Glacier Don't remember if it's a 10-mile hike or 10-mile round trip. There is a gorgeous lake at the foot of the glacier. We left Memorial Day weekend and the only reason I had anything to wear during the day was the shorts and tanks I took for the gym.

Nice to see you cruising. Been a huge fan of them for years. Would be interested in seeing you try a Celebrity ship. More folks in your demographic yet still the upscale feel. Cruising on a Mediterranean itinerary with them next May. Think you guys would love something like that. Great video!

I have been on an Alaskan cruise twice (and enjoyed it. I recommend doing a Mediterranean Cruise and a Nordic/Scandinavian Cruise. One of my favourite cruises (it was my most recent) was a trip that started in London and ended in Lisbon (essentially a Bay of Biscay cruise.

I loved watching this video! An Alaska cruise is on my bucket list. Going on a more luxurious ship like the Silversea would probably be right up my alley. I loved how you went over everything on the ship. I too think the excursions off the ship would be the best thing.

An Alaskan cruise how awesome! And you got a train excursion and some hiking. Just an all around great adventure! I've never cruised before but this would be my choice. It's all about the scenic views. First class accomodations! Great job thanks for taking us along!

Looks incredible; reminds me of my Alaska cruise last year. If you ever do this again I recommend going on a Holland America or Princess itinerary that goes to Glacier Bay National Park (few other cruise lines do. Imagine Hubbard Glacier, but multiplied a few times.

Thank you for your productions which are informative and entertaining. My wife and I fulfilled a dream by taking a cruise to southern Alaska from Seattle just last year and for eight days. The scenery was beyond magnificent. It was GLORIOUS!

I wish you could come up with a JEB score for train trips and cruses like you do for flights. I would love to get your and Suzanne's unique take on these types of travel. So happy when I see your logo on my bell list. Thanks for the Fun trips.

Great video! I didn't notice a link to book a cruise with Silverseas. Would love for you to get recognition for sharing. Sounds like there may be a cruise in my future. Thx for all your detailed videos. They're truly helpful

You should come to Hamilton, ON, visit the warplane museum and book a flight on the Lancaster. It's one of only two in the world that fly and it would be a cool video! Plus, it would be cool to have you in my hometown!

I would add to the packing, that if you are going in the summer months, take some clothes for warm weather also. We only took the layers at the end of June and had mostly warm sunny days. Shorts would have been nice.
