I flew Hawaiian economy class last year from the big island to LAX (I believe we took Alaskan to get to Hawai'i) and it was so nice. The fun part about the Hilo airport is it's mostly outdoors, so we got to walk from the gate to the tarmac, and THEN onto the plane!

Question: as someone who flies to Hawaii/Oahu yearly from New York. and will be flying more because of my grandfather deteriorating health, will the 787 be flying on the JFK to HNL route next year or not

$1800 round trip from the west coast is a lot to spend, even for first class. But if they offer these seats to the east coast, I can see spending that to get a bed on the redeye flight home.

Went to Hawaii on another airline and booked isle and window because my son is a big boy. Well it didn’t work out since they sold my window seat and I ended up in the middle.

Regarding good looking birds -- if I had a choice I'd pick a Connie or a China Clipper(Of course that means it would take twice as long to get anywhere )

That first class in America is akin to business class in Europe and elsewhere. Hawaiian are one of the better airlines I think.
