Its taken me 2 hours to get from the City to LHR on the tube and then you have to go though the check-in and security, so even with the extra hour in Shannon, this City airport flight would get you to JFK quicker. Oh, just reading the comments, this flight doesnt even operate any more. Damn you BA!

I flew a narrow body airport across the Atlantic before - the Boeing 757. Note if you have the opportunity and the A220 is available, try it trans-atlantic from London City Centre Airport - hopefully Odyssey Airlines has implemented their service from that airport.

Do you have to keep mentioning you are flying with your girlfriend? Not necessary for your reviews on flying. And, you've mentioned her before on several other reviews. We get it already! Like your rating system and that you take avgeek flights.

I realize this a very late(recent)now a new airline will provide a true non-stop between LCY-JFK(no stop in Shannon) using a truly modified
business class only A220-100.
Odessey I believe is their name.

I had the chance to fly on Speedbird 1. And I didn't. D'OH! If you have the chance to do something. Do it. You may never get the chance again. Speedbird 1 is gone. BA 747s have gone. Do it!

At first I thought, how could an A-318 fly that far against the wind. But then I realized its small size and reduced payload would give it sufficient range. Thanks for this unique trip Jeb.

I wish BA were still doing these flights but I had the feeling they wanted an excuse to axe them for years. The should move the BA1/BA2 flight codes back to Heathrow using A350s.

As if you're actually moaning about not storing stuff 'there' when you're on that flight haha. God, let someone who'd be grateful to be on that flight be there

The only thing that could replace Concorde is another Concorde. Nothing could match the safety and speed. (Tu144 was unsafe) so no. This cant be Concorde 2. 0

I guess London traffic adds the hour it would take to get from the center to London Heathrow, so it evens out. The experience on BA1 though, would be superior.

It would've been great if there was an airport closer to Manhattan that it could've landed. This would've made it likely a much more traveled route.

You basically had your own private jet. Sadly, BA will be retiring this flight and plane soon. I really wanted to fly it as well.
