After I retired, I worked for a US airline for about a year. I would say 75% of service animals are total BS, people just trying to save fees. Had one young woman that somehow needed two lap dogs for support. There is no real regulation, just a not from a supposed doctor that in reality airline employee could realistically verify particularly at the airport. This is pathetic and probably will eventually make it harder for the few that really depend on such animals. Personally, I am allergic to cats and supposedly to dogs though they have never caused any real issues and I have one those. Cats do cause itchy watery eyes. A current coworker has an emotional support cat and has finagled her way to take another on the flight without cost, total BS. Take a pill.

People who use emotional support animals are selfishly detracting from those who actually need service animals. They are hiding behind [usually] self-diagnosed anxiety, when in reality, all they need to learn how to do is better process their emotional response. As someone who has many family members who really need a service animal (seizures, severe chronic arthritis, steadily going blind, PTSD, I'm glad airlines are cracking down on the emotional support animal cases. If you can't be away from an animal for more than a few hours because you're a fully grown adult who can't control their emotions, you don't need to be flying.

To answer your question, I'm not particularly comfortable flying with any kind of animal in the cabin. I understand that some people rely heavily on a service dog and the airlines have to accommodate that. I'll admit that I don't really understand the need for an emotional support animal, so I don't mean to sound uncaring toward anyone who has one, but if an animal is not absolutely, positively necessary, it should either fly in the cargo hold or not at all. I'm with Delta on limiting unnecessary animals in the cabin.

I agree with you 100% about the service dogs. Im glad Delta is drawing the line on this one. Its a pet, and you can survive without it. Its totally discrediting to the people that ACTUALLY NEED a service animal. It makes me angry, if you cant tell, lol.
Anyway, great video! If I had to choose a seat in premium economy, Id probably choose the seat directly behind where you were. The fold out TV is a little weird to me, though I get it. I hope to try it one day!

Unless they are professionally trained service dog they do not belong on a flight. You have to take into account people who have severe animal allergies. What's the risk to them as well? Support animals for things such as PTSD that are certified service animals are quite something different. Of course they should be allowed. But someone that wants to call scruffy and emotional support animal just so they can travel with them should be a no-go.

I suspect the straw that broke the camel's back was the woman who brought aboard an emotional support miniature horse. I would've declined flying with that myself. One thing NO ONE needs is a 150+ pound hooved mammal flying around the cabin should the turbulence get nasty!

I just did 14 hours from ATL to Incheon on the 350. Watched your videos countless times, and forgot everything you talked about. Sat in the bulkhead row, and fought with the screen for a good five minutes and forgot where to plug in my headphones. LOL Overall it was a great flight. I had both seats to myself, and I was able to see the city lights in Japan.

No, on 'emotional support' animals. Far too abuse by dog moms to bring little yappy sprinkles wherever she goes. Plus they don't take in consideration of human travelers allergies, such as my son, who was seated (and they would not reseat us) to a allergenic cat that was nothing more than this lady's fur baby.

Are the bulkhead seats narrower than the other PS seats? I know they have more legroom but the reduced width means I usually choose a different seat. Considering booking this to HND and want to make the right decision. Thanks!

Wow! The guy at 2: 14 could hardly get to his seat. Premium? I doubt it. You post great videos, but unfortunately US based carriers have no idea of customer service. It is all about the buck saved.

Saw someone walk their Great Dan in the B Terminal at ATL. How can that size of dog sit on a lap? What a joke! The dog and owner were taken away from the Delta staff.
