Philippine Airlines A350 Business Class is in a class of its own! The Ultra Long-haul service from Manila to New York was the perfect way to get back from my trip on United's Island Hopper flight! I polled the subscribers to this channel to ask for suggestions, and Philippine Airlines new A350 service from Manila to New York was the winner. I couldn't have been happier flying on PAL. In this video, we'll explore what it's like to fly on Philippine Airlines' Business Class in their flagship A350. This route from Manila to New York is currently the eighth longest flight in the world earning a spot as one of the true Ultra Long-Haul routes. The 16+ hours spent in the air on Philippine Airlines A350 Business Class gave me plenty of time to

I would fly Philippine airlines business class from LA to Manila but on that route they use the older 777-300 that has the old configuration for seats-- 2 - 2 -2 which gives no isle access to those sitting in window seats. I wish they would change planes on this route to the A350 with the 1 - 2 -1 seat configuration and would consider flying with them to Manila. I've also been in that business class lounge (terminal #1) in Manila when flying business class with Asiana which also uses it along with several others--I think that may have changed now.

Very good and very informative.
I flew The airbus A350 from LAX to Manila. I got addicted. Now I'm flying PAL Business Class whenever I flew from Manila to LAX or LAX to Manila. There Business Lounge in Manila is operational and very accomodating. The food in the airplane is awesome. Serve prime cut rib eye steak for dinner. Good steak in the province is very hard to come by. Very satisfied with my prime cut rib eye steak.

I was there in July 2022 but the large baggage that goes under the plane has delayed until the line was moving and we use but that wasnt my first flight I was in the nearest airport from Sinait to Manilas nearest airport and my family toke the plane to go to the bigger airport to go to Korea then, half of my family got separated because the plane was full and my mom and sister go use the other plane to Dallas Forth Worth (DFW.

Id flown Philippine Airlines business class before but it was an old plane aint that good the best business class Ive flown were Qatar Airways and Emirates 5 star all the way including the Lounges. I just remember we flew Royal Jordan airlines before from Saudi Arabia to Jordan when we had a tour in Petra and the airline foods was fantastic so far that was the best foods I had experienced in an airline.

I know this was done 3 years ago and I have not had the time to search your entire page but if you have not flown on PAL business class since then, let me tell you your rating would have been 28 stars! The lounge in this video has NOTHING on today's PAL lounges! And PAL has the BEST CREW ever fore which we agree, I even say the BEST crew flying today!
Thanks for the journey!

As someone who as traveled back and forth between HK and MNL frequently over the past decade, I really agree with Skytrax that PAL is the most improved airline. I used to be frustrated by the frequent delays and poor customer service, but they really have gotten their act together and now flying with them is a pleasure. Go PH!

I've done PAL coach only on 777, but I must say the seats are comfy (leather) and the food was good, better than most airline food I've had. They served three meals, dinner, snack and breakfast. I would use them again. Only stingy thing, they only offered one alcoholic beverage before dinner and none the rest of the flight!

I wish Philippine Airlines could learn to manage and operate its equipment. It's really unacceptable to cancel flights hours before take-off. Multi-hour delays shouldn't be the norm. If there were any other airline covering the route from San Francisco to Manila, I would select that option over Philippine Airlines.

The great thing I found when flying is the day of flight upgrades to business class. You could upgrade from economy to business for $800. Thats a great bargain. Their inflight service is great. Their phone customer service and Mubuhay Miles staff not very knowledgeable but yet still friendly.
reply

You make me sick, Flying business class. LOL. I'm a retired old man and I'll have to save money for a year to afford economy class. I have to go to the Philippines in the fall of 2023 and my tired, old aching body will have to suffer in economy class. Being poor and retired sux.

PAL's A350s are hands down, the cream of the crop on the carrier. It's unfortunate that due to financial troubles, this kind of aircraft is one of the biggest victims of the restructuring process. If you're on the 77W, the experience may leave quite a bit to be desired.

I went to bali Indonesia on Philippines airlines, from Riyadh to manila it was a 10 hour flight and it was the worst flight ever, no inflight entertainment system, no transit facilities at the airport for a 9 hour stay at the airport, worst experience of my life!
reply

Yes, PAL has been my all time favourite airlines to fly with. I only had my experience with the economy class from KUL-MNL and return and yet it was still a great experience. The crew was fantastic, friendly and always give warm smile to the passengers.

I've flown Philippines airlines in economy, and even there it was excellent service and wonderful attendants and staff. It was really a special flight! And like you, I've been blessed to travel extensively and fly business and first many times

I haven't used Phils. Airline for a longest time, PAL still used old 777-300 on SFO-Mla instead of the new A350 even the passenger surpassed the NYC. I wish PAL start using A350 on this route and I'm sure it will increased passenger load everyday.

Thank you. We Filipinos are known around the world for, among other things, our hospitality that comes to us naturally. Have you tried staying with a Filipino family for even a night? Our home hospitality is even better than on air

Great report Jeb. When we can fly again, maybe in four years, we will seek out Philippine Airlines. It look great. I agree with you, I prefer a window seat, not a seat that I can see a window from. Looking nest to the next one.

Flying 16 hours nonstop is not always a pleasant experience with Philippine Airlines A350 my trip from Toronto to Mania last April 2019 was a bit worthwhile with more legroom plus the excellent service of the cabin crew.

Aloha keep rolling good stuff thanks for the 411 i love the trains video i am very inspired by your travels i gotta get out there my self
I like the plane videos too how do you aford to travel in business class?

reply

ive flown this flight in 2018 mla-new york and vice versa and its the spanking new a350 newly delivered then, the best and longest international flight we had, even etihad and emirates dont even come close
reply

PAL alone can go higher in SKYTRAX ranking. The only thing that hinders them is our airport and lounge. If this will be fixed by the government, I think they will be in one of the Top 10 for sure.
reply

New Manila Airport Currently on its First Phase of Construction, I hope you'll be back with much better airport Thr Terminal you are in at that time is bot the main Terminal for PAL unfortunately.
reply

Aloha lads gotta say this video is exactly what I needed to know jfk to mnl is the best way to go i never flown on Philippines airlines i really wanted to fly this route but i was out priced
reply

Looks like a great airlines to fly with. You made a great video covering everything. Of course to ever be able to fly in either Business Class or First Class Ill have to win the lottery.
reply

BRUH ARE YOU KIDDING? All these years we fumbled transferring in different airports or spending extra to go Japan, Taiwan or Korea and now they suddenly have a non-stop service? LOL
reply

Hello Jeb, I have flew on Philippine Airlines and the crew were awesome! I also went to the same lounge and terminal, but I saw a cockroach. Not the best lounge Ive been to.
reply

First, it was clean throughout this long flight.
As someone who has only used Philippine Airlines, you mean to tell me that other airlines dont clean their bathrooms?

reply

Only the infrastructure is the problem here hopefully the new international airport to be constructed will give justice to the effort of our airline staff.
reply

Unfortunately, Filipinos can be really unfriendly to each other and prefer to treat non Filipinos better. I wish I had a similar experience as yours.
reply

I agree that everything was great except for the the lounge in Manila. The highlights on my flight were the exceptional service from the crew and the food.
