I had a horrifoc experience. I was at clearwater airport over 2 hrs early day after xmas. The lines miles long. They kept telling me goto different lines miles long. Because I listen to them and did what they told me to do and to go into certain lines I checked in 2 minutes late with only 43 minutes to board the plane so they wouldn't let me board the plane was a huge problem behind that was I had chemotherapy the following day and they didn't give a s and they told me they didn't care that it wasn't their problem and that I should have shown up early I was like dude I was here over two hours earlier people kept telling me to go to the wrong line and all the lines were a million miles long and I need to board this plane so I can get my chemotherapy in the morning and they were of no assistance they wouldn't give me my money back if there was no other flights for me to go on for a few more days I couldn't wait any further cuz I had to go home for chemotherapy so I finally got ahold of my family and 4 hours later they picked me up and they had to drive me all the way to Tampa to be put on another plane which we had to pay for because again Allegiant review burst me and Allegiant didn't give a crap and I emailed I called them on the phone the whole bit they did not care so I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever fly with them again their customer service is horrible they are horribly rude and they are extremely unprofessional I have given them the worst possible reviews ever their seats are extremely tiny I am 5 foot 3 and my knees pretty much hit the front seat in front of me they are narrow seats as well they're not comfortable it's cheap for a reason

I think Allegiant made the right call to remove their old MD-80s and replace them with A319s and A320s. They actually got some new A320s right before the production line switched to only making the neo version. However, most were purchased used, I think largely from EasyJet. The A319s are the high density version, with an extra set of window exits. I think they have the most unique business model of any US carrier, since they pretty much only operate point to point, serve a lot of small airports, don't ticket any connections, and return all their aircraft and crews to their bases every night.

And what bothers me is why would aligent Airlines order the 737 max planes honestly which to me is ridiculous why not order the safest plane which to me is the triple 777 which has a very high safety rating it can fly over the ocean with one engine secondly they will lose people with the 737 max jet. I just hope they have all the bugs worked out can you do a video on why aligent Airlines didn't go with the triple 777

I remember being a little kid flying Allegiant Air to visit my Grandma and Grandpa and being totally mesmerized by the plane. It was such a magical feeling lifting into the air and seeing the world grow small. Allegiant Air brings back so many good memories and its a level of nostalgia Ill never forget. It may sound silly, but, I hope I get to fly them again someday. Just for nostalgia.

Stick with Delta Jeb, the ULLC's are not intended for Delta Million Milers.
But the folks on Vacation, and headed to the Beach, Love them.
At least you didn't have to worry about getting that upgrade.
Your right about Alligiant, they are new to my home city of BNA, they are very popular, and the folks here seem to Love them, we are, after all a Tourist destination.

I just flew Allegiant round trip from Wichita to Las Vegas last week and it was a great flight. What I really loved was that it was a non-stop two hour flight vs. a connecting flight in Denver with a 3-4 hour layover and concourse change on any other more expensive airline. Yes, the seats were a bit tight but other than that, a quick two hours later and I was in Vegas.

Have flown Allegiant a number of times, both on the old MD80 and A319's. Yes they get you there, probably now as safe as anyone else. But grumpy gate staff and zippo customer service are their hallmarks. And, I've been stranded a couple of times by late flight cancellations.
You have to know their system, and you need flexibility in scheduling.

I just flew allegiant from Orlando to Columbus. I've never had any issues with them, and this time was great. The staff was friendly, the captain went on the intercom to greet us before takeoff, it was on time. My only issue was the seats were very uncomfortable, but if you just want to get from point A to point B, allegiant is a good airline

So, which short-range airline model generates the superior profitability: the bare-bones operations (like Allegiant and Ryanair) or the not-quite-bare-bones operations (like Southwest and British Airways, in Europe? Ryanair seems to be great success despite, seemingly, having nothing but contempt for its passengers.

DisAllegiant. lol
Good to hear it has become better but just hate the Nickel and Diming thing. the standard excuse is that it is why they are low cost. but nah, disagree. does not have to be that way! Other ways to cut costs behind the scenes! I worked for many airlines in the past.

Ive never had issues, but theyre not my first choice due to no seat recline and other flight experiences. If its drastically cheaper than other options, which usually isnt the case after adding on the fees for bags and seat selection, Ill take them over a mainline I have perks with.

Thanks for recognizing the ramp agents! I was a ramp agent in Phoenix for America West Airlines, hottest, most physical job I ever did and I made a whopping $6. 95 an hour doing it. But I loved it, I was an Avgeek long before I ever heard that term.

The so called safety issue was an exagerrated problem. High ambient temperatures in Las Vegas would cause MD80 engines to overtemp on the ground causing return to gate.
This happened quite a bit and was included in maintenance stats.

Moral of the story, Allegiant, unlike other budget airlines, gives you just a tiny bit more thank what you may pay for, it's accomodating, it gets you where you need to go for a cheap price, and its just the most ok airline.

Flew with allegiant for the first time this week, besides a relatively long delay in vegas. I dont think iv ever had such a smooth experience with any airlines! I love the options they give us from our small airport.

Recently flew Allegiant roundtrip between LAX and Bellingham, WA. Certainly not the most comfortable seats, but adequate for a 2 1/2 hr. flight. Great crew, smooth flight and early, by 30 minutes in both directions.

The first ever flight I flown on was with allegiant and I was terrified because I was seven years old and the captain came out of the cockpit and gave me his wings and all the flight attendants were so nice

I'm flying Allegiant in a few months and I'm so glad I paid the $12 for seat selection, I got the window seat at the very front of the plane so there's a little extra room

To be fair, not all Allegiant tray table are created equal. The sadly, but thankfully now retired Mad Dogs, along with some of the A320's also have the tiny useless ones.

Those travel experiences are a nightmare IMO. I notice you kept the flights relatively short!
I was subjected to 7 hours on an Allegiant flight from IND to PIE. awful.

Ultra low cost carrier tip. Go to the airport to book the flight. The flight cost is almost entirely booking fees. Alligaint charges $18 a segment.

Great airline. I fly with them on an average of about 8 times a year. Have been for the last ten years. They treat veterans really well.

One plus about flying during coronavirus is that you can't really smell anything that bad because you have your mask on the whole time!

There is no need for the carry on tag. The gate agent knows you have a carry on simply by looking at your boarding pass. Bad gate agent.
