Awesome review, thanks Jeb! I agree that the service in AF business class is probably one of the best in the skies for a business class cabin, along with Qatar and Asian airlines, obviously. Way better than Delta, which quite frankly has really declined since the pandemic (on both Intl' and domestic flights. Also better than BA and most European airlines, though to be fair I've never flown on KLM, about which I've heard lots of good things (interestingly enough it's the same company. They seem to have found the right balance between friendliness and the more formal French etiquette you would expect on AF, and most importantly they're very engaged with passengers with a very efficient service, all flight-long. I can't remember how many times FAs on AA called me honey and filled-up my glass of wine to the top, probably to minimize the back-and-forth with each passenger (and this was pre-pandemic, and that even happened once on a First Class AA flight to Tokyo. AF is definitely a world apart. Thanks again for this great review!

This unlike United Polaris from SFO to ICN that I flew 2 months ago. Dreamliner business cabin is so roomy, comfortable, and 13 inch screen if I can recall. If not, it was the biggest screen I ever seen. There are curve doors on all aisles to protect privacy. Two days ago, I flew with Delta 330-900neo, JFK to CDG, it wasnt that great. The cabin alone is super nice with privacy door. It has very large screens. However, the bed is really bad, tight and sloppy. The aisle was so narrow to walk into the seat. Food is 7/10, business service is 6/10. I would rather fly the premium or economy class. One of luggages (sky priory) was delayed 2 days. They left it in JFK. Lol. I will have to write a super professional email to complain about this terrible experience.

you are right!
I just flew yesterday AF business class for CDG to MONTREAL and security in Paris at the gate was crazy
As vaccinated Italian I have the European green pass and the security man didn't know what it was so for every single passenger was in panic and some passengers were very impolite and nervous
55 minutes to get on board!
creazy!

I flew on June 1st United Polaris from SFO-FRA-LIN. Having to keep the mask on was horrible. Missed connecting flight in FRA because of paperwork checks nonsense and had to spend 8 hours in a horrible empty with nothing but people lounge. Totally not worth it hope things have changed. Wish there was a direct flight from SF to Milan.

Air France business class can range from one of the best transatlantic products to one of the worst - it just depends on which hard product you get. Air France seems to change what types of planes are flying on which routes at whim, so you pays your money and you takes your chances.

4: 26 I already was able to make it through international travel, just in late March, and I am watching this video in July, 2022. But before that, the last time I was in international travel is in Early August, 2015! That is like 6 to 7 years back!

Pack some patience. Great advice! I'm still waiting to travel internationally until we are in a place where entry requirements are less strenuous or at least standardized to the point where last minute changes are less likely to happen.

As in other videos of yours, I'm sorry you're not able to try the shellfish since it looked pretty good. What is the deal with a bowl of plain lettuce? Maybe the idea is to combine all the appetizer ingredients together if desired?

International travel? Jeb you make me laugh. Those of us in West Australia aren't even game to leave the State in case we get locked out. We are told maybe February. Watch Denis Bunnicks visa run to Perth. It's funny as, but sadly true.

I flew Delta to Paris 9/13, leaving from Greensboro and connecting in Atlanta. No real problems (except sky train not running in ATL, had researched necessary forms. GSO staff not too familiar with international requirements though.

Great Trip Report! Jeb short and sleek. I find the longer trip reports boring. Air France is one best airlines with good food and crew. I recently came across James Asquith's review of Air France which was quite hilarious.

Have you done the Virgin A350 Upper Class yet? Air France now let me connect flights through LHR switching to them and while it looks great Im curious if its worth an extra couple of hours for travel time.

I flew to El Salvador earlier March. Id say it was chaotic going back to LAX than it was just going to El Salvador. Service was ok. Not the best experience Ive had. The stewards in the flight were awesome as well

Hello Jeb, thank you for posting your trip and impressions. Amazing to be up in the air again, and being in Paris I should fly the other way around to Detroit: the airport looks amazing. Cheers, Gerard

That's one of the smallest business class table I have ever seen. Love the service they served, unlike other airlines with all the cost-cutting. The paper works at that time sound tiring

I flew New York to Frankfurt with Delta recently. I feel the pain you experienced while trying to board. It was a bit silly and we were delayed. But, Delta did give good service.

I recently went to France with Delta and the boarding process was not that difficult. Next year we will be flying AF Business class to Athens on an A350. I am super excited!

I was flying internationally from Berlin in October of 2020, and the airport was strangely empty back then. Next flight, in a month, also from Paris, so. we will see. :)

Made several trips to Greece during pandemic. Very stressful compared to pre pandemic. Planning another trip in a few weeks which am excited about.

When the crew offers you alcohol after a meal, they want you knocked out during the rest of the flight. Trust me, im a flight attendant. Lol

Weve been to Venice in August for our Anniversary & being Delta people we were a bit underwhelmed with the inflight service in Delta One

It has been 13 years (sheesh) since I was last at Detroit Metro. How it has changed! Just beautiful. Congratulations, Michigan!

Detroit is one of my favorite airports. Good food, easy navigation. The dots are the only thing I dislike about this airport.
