Watch this video to see what its like to spend 7 Days in Antarctica on my Journey to the South Pole and to travel in Antarctica! In this Antarctica Travel Vlog, youll see what its like to fly from Cape Town to Antarcticas only private jet runway and then spend a week flying around Antarcticas Queen Maud Land. Youll see the luxury accommodations provided by White Desert, the incredible airplanes operating in this unforgiving environment. Well fight hurricane force winds and negative 35 degree temperatures in order to visit a spot on the map thats nearly impossible to reach. Along the way, well see what its like to spend a week on the coldest, driest, and windiest continent. The South Pole is the southernmost point on planet earth and that, in and of itself, is enough for me to want to visit, but theres more. Fewer than 500 tourists visit each year. Even if everything goes perfectly which of course it wont getting there just isnt easy. We'll fly on an Airbus A340 to Antarctica and then onboard a specially modified DC-3 called a Basler as we answer the question can you travel to Antarctica (and beyond?

I will say the extreme logistics in Antarctica you speak of, are not the amazing in reality. Some tropical islands import the near entirety of what's needed or available, including the mass of donated infrastructure & Comercial type items (the island of Samoa is where my information is based. As for taking everything out when you leave, that can only be a realistic procedure although if one looks at the environment of Mt Everest in regards to the climbers been & gone (the one's who were able to. That simplest of procedures has been a completely missed afterthought, as the mountain is littered with human excrement & dead bodies all explanations for such disrespectful actions sumise to a long string of excuses hard to understand in all truthfulness!
We must hope Antarctica never is fully opened & unrestricted to the common public, thus ensuring it remains as a pure clean ice environment.

When I was a kid, we were told only scientists could go to Antarctica, then I remember when White Desert launched their first Camp, I was still a student and thought it would be a great way to spend an annual bonus, nicer than to buy a Patek Philippe or a sports car. But I have changed my mind and think we should leave Antarctica untouched from tourism.
It is not because we can that we should.

If I'm understanding your journey here correctly (I'm not even halfway through the video, this is incredible as I was absolutely certain that what you have experienced was of no doubt entirely impossible for an individual of the general-ish public. Now I'm holding my breath hoping you actually make it right to the south pole, I guess I'll find out now as I continue watching?

This is utterly phenomenal. Is there an extended version? Did they just touch down at SP with a few minutes to run around the markers? Are visitors kept out of Amudsen-Scott? The sky looked a bit iffy once you were on the ground. How was the trip back?

Is anybody else struck by the contradiction between Antarctica and this luxury travel company featured? what's the point of traveling to the worlds end if it feels like a business lounge most of the time? This is just explorer cosplay for rich people.

Where are your bases compared to the many international research structures? Also, who maintains your facilities throughout the year? I thought you could only fly to Antarctica in the summer. What an exciting adventure all in all.

If i ended up there, i would have a nightmare and nightmares about the nightmare. No EFFIN way. To be standing at the south pole looking around saying WOW! Everywhere you look its the same. Just breathtaking (literally.

Btw.
Planes dont use gas,
Or gasoline,
They use fuel,
Theres an important distinction,
I definitely cant go with you because you really have no ideal as to whats going on

Jeb love your videos. But why didn't you mention these trips cost 60, 000. 00? Twice the average americans salary! This isn't a bucket list trip but a fantasy for most. But your vids are incredible!
reply

Nice. Thank you. Great journey and destination. Can you extend the video so viewers can take screenshots of the marker and map at the South Pole uncluttered by thumbnails of other videos?
reply

Hopefully Jeb found the geographic South Pole marker, the one shown at 16: 38 is the ceremonial pole where politicians and whatnot who get that far south like to be photographed.
reply

Why didn't you film the huge American (military) scientific base behind the flags? We caught a glimpse of the corner but that thing is massive. Did they ask you not to shoot it?
reply

Congratulations on fulfilling one of the things on your Bucket List! Truly a wonderful feat! You looked so natural there in the snow. I think you LOVE snowy environments
reply

Ohhhh my! This trip was epic. It is the best thing I have watched so far. Wow! Congratulations for making it to the South Pole. Keep those videos coming. Thank You!
reply

I would've paid the pilot of the small plane all of my life savings to keep flying straight and continue over Antarctica so we could explore the truth beyond it
reply

Why do they use a 1942 DC-3 airframe when there are modern, pressurised, propellor aircraft? Is there a backup plane for rescue? This trip costs US$104, 000!
reply

I think in the light of the recent titan explorer disaster these commercial trips to abnormal places should be re assessed for equipment and vessel safety,
