I have never purchased a ticket on these 3 airlines, but I have flown on Frontier. I was dumped by United overnight back in 2000 in Denver. I didn't get to my destination until after 11 am the next day. It was a decent flight. My delay was NOT Frontier's fault. Missed my sister's college graduation. I haven't flown Untied as I call them, since. Also haven't flown Frontier either. But I do enjoy these comparison videos, so I say go for it with SWA, JetBlue and whatever that other one was. Haha.

It could be possible that Allegiant had mechanical issues with the plane. That s not exactly some thing that airlines like to announce or advertise. Given the hostility of a lot of travelers nowadays, I could see why they wouldn t want to share that information if that were the case. You don t need warm collars to turn hot even before the flight starts. Of course, not following through with the promised updates was definitely a downer. That in itself could raise the temperature and some people.

Of these three, I ve only flown on Frontier, and it was back before they went to no recline seats. I flew from Trenton to Raleigh/Durham and back. I m not sure how well I d fit in the seats you had on any of these carriers, which has kept me from using them. I recently watched a Spirit flight board at the gate Next-door at Newark, and I was impressed at how efficiently and courteously they boarded a full aircraft from a very cramped gate.

Dated a chick who flew with Spirit. Always flew First Class, even though I was mostly on standby. After a 5 day week in Atlantic City, drinking, gambling and drinking. I was sleeping in First Class, (silent but deadly) beer farting every 5-10 minutes the flight back to Detroit. I had my head under the pillow hiding from the passengers. Man o man, that was a stinky flight! I am surprised I didn t get beat up when we got off the plane!

We were delayed 10 hours by Allegiant in Sarasota airport. The airline knew 4 hours before they let us know, that one on the pilots were over their allowed hours and couldn t fly home. The only reason we got home to Cincinnati was because the crew was Cincy based. Otherwise we would have been stuck another 2 days until the next flight (unless crew volunteered for overtime. Not fun with a 6 year old!

Very informative but with a few flaws: you measured the width of headrests and not the shoulder room (the typical seat width on A319/320/321 is 18' anyway. Also the legroom should be measured between the back of the seat in front and the back of the cushion of your seat. And a comparison with the price on legacy airlines on the same route (including the same service) would also be welcome.

We enjoyed our only Allegiant flights from Oakland to Kalispell, MT and back a few years ago. The planes were clean, the staff was friendly, and the flights were on time. My only problem was we forgot to print my boarding passes at the hotel for our flight home to Oakland so we had to pay to check in at the Kalispell airport. I ll never make that mistake again.

Tight knee room and needing to put your carryon under the seat in front of you puts a double whammy on comfort. The lack of recline makes it worse. I might tolerate two hours in a cramped position, but that would be my limit. I've always flown JetBlue, which had decent seat pitch, plenty of overhead space, slight reclining, free IFE and free soft drinks and snacks.

I fly frontier way more than I probably should. However, you have to be very smart about the fine print. If you pack light and just take whatever seats, you can fly where you want to go for very cheap. I lived in Denver and I went to Las Vegas probably 50 times for less than 100 round trip. But if you need to take bags anywhere, always comparison shop!

I'd love to see a comparison of Breeze, Southwest, & JetBlue! based on my own experience with these airlines I'd assume JetBlue will win, personally I prefer Breeze over southwest for the seats and boarding process. But Southwest has a much larger network and probably offers bet cutomer service at the airport and before the flight in general.

You should do a top-to-bottom comparison, like say, United vs. Southwest vs. Spirit. Take the highest level service on each, including lounge (or lack thereof, and make a comparison on which airline was the best value for money spent. I think it would be interesting to see if the extra money spent on First Class, lounge, etc. is worth it.

Of note, Denver's security is kind of a mess. The Clear (biometric screening) is disconnected from TSA pre-check. So unlike other airports that combine those two for expedited/simpler security, if you use Clear, expect to still have to go through regular TSA security. In other words, Clear doesn't do anything to help you out Denver.

Good info and its nice to have a review from your level of experience. Have heard horror stories, and good experiences about all three so it really seems to be flight by flight. Ref the next tier up review, yes please. I've flown Southwest exclusively for years simply because of their routes and pricing so new info is always welcome.

Had to stop watching after 2 mins when he said they all participated in TSA pre check program. Yeah that s cool. What about just going through security as a normal passenger which most of the customers that are flying those airlines are. You be getting to the airport all extra early, take the normal tsa line and be authentic

Allgiant started out of Fresno. To LV I believe. Then they added CS to LV. The eventually moved their base to LV. I lived in CS at the time but then moved back to LV for family. I m curious if you stayed the night in LV and if a hotel, which one? I recommend The Delano at Mandalay Bay especially if one likes the water.

Allegiant serves airports I doubt anyone has ever HEARD of! Punta Gorda? My wife grew up about ten minutes away from what has always been a tiny obscure airport two hours north of New York City called STEWART NEWBURGH INTERNATIONAL in tiny little Newburgh, New York, and, sure enough, Yep! Allegiant flies there!

My wife grew up about ten minutes away from what has always been a tiny obscure airport two hours north of New York City called STEWART NEWBURGH INTERNATIONAL in tiny little Newburgh, New York, and, sure enough, Yep! Allegiant flies there!

You re truly lucky that you found Spirit okay. I m sure you re getting tons of personal experiences here, so I won t bore you with mine. It s just as well anyway, because I d have had difficulty trying to put what happened on our flight into a less than disgusting manner. We won t fly with them ever again.

Very informative. I flew my last Frontier flight in December 2022 - painful seats, rude employees (almost to the point of not wanting to get on the flight, and charges for everything. I typically fly Delta, but needed to go to Las Vegas for a quick trip - you absolutely get what you pay for. Safe travels!

I have flow all over the world and enjoyed every flight. Now the airlines are taking passengers for a ride and not providing proper service of comfortable flight. I refuse to fly. Thanks for review you should not have to pay for everything they want and who every heard of tipping the workers, no way.
