Flying to the Caribbean on a PRIVATE JET (Gulfstream G450)

Watch this video to see inside a Private Jet! We were invited by our friends to join them on a Gulfstream G450 flight from our home in Greensboro, NC to the Caribbean island of St. Maarten (SXM! Youll see everything from the luxurious accommodations onboard to the catering, even the Gulfstream cockpit! We'll give you a Gulfstream private jet tour, highlighting the Gulfstream G450 interior! This 1, 600 mile trip lasted four hours thanks to a surprise change in our flight path, but we werent about to complain about more time onboard this Better-Than-First-Class Private Jet experience! This private jet is one of the most luxurious in the sky. The Gulfstream G450 is capable of traveling up to 5, 000 miles. In fact, our crew had recently flown from Washington Dulles Airport to Milan in Italy! Our four hours onboard this private jet were incredible!

The main advantage of a private jet is having to be at the airport only 15 minutes ahead of the flight to meet your pilot. Another advantage is the near total lack of security as shown in the video (meaning less time needed between home and plane. After hurricane Maria, I flew private to Florida and I could have taken a bazooka on board in my luggage. TBH, the terminal looked like a scene out of Casablanca as we were all trying to get out of PR and there were hundreds) of people there.
Disadvantages are small space (almost total lack of space for a carry-on, low headroom when standing and going to the restroom.
All the niceties (food, drink, service) cost extra. My flight cost me 23k for a 7 seat Gulfstream so I drank the included soft drink; my traveling partner did help himself to a basic bar. There were various snacks available like in your video. For the jet to come to us, they filled it with toilet paper and some cases of water to qualify as a humanitarian relief flight in order to get one of the few landing slots available at the time (those first days after Maria, the SJU airport was operating daytime only with just 4 planes in/out per hour max.
Funniest thing of that flight (it was a horrible flight for me because of what it represented) was the open cockpit and seeing an Airplane movie hula dancer by the controls. Another thing I remember is that the jet felt like a Ferrari, able to make nimble turns/adjustments compared to what it feels in the regular commercial planes.

the best benefit, and quite frankly the only benefit of flying private, is time savings from not having to arrive early at airport to go through security. apart from time savings, I am sad to say first class and lots of business class products from top tier commercial operators offer far superior comfort and luxury. a tiny private jet simply doesn't have the space to accommodate equipment that makes first class dining possible, a tiny private jet also don't have the space or weight capacity to store a large alcohol collection for passengers to choose from. back in my 20s when i was still working, i had access to company jets, yet i still preferred to fly commercial if possible. you simply can't beat it from ground experience in premium lounge, to bar in the sky and far better food options than a tiny gulfstream or citation kitchen can whip up.

I'd love to go to Montserrat to visit the ruins of a recording studio that was built by Sir George Martin, record producer to the Beatles. Air Studio Montserrat was built by Sir George Martin in 1979. It was severely damaged by Hurricane Hugo in 1989 and closed permanently then abandoned. Many famous rock music artists recorded albums there during the ten years it was open.

I am putting together a biz plan involving a gulfstream g3 and Gulfstream/Grumman G7 Cougar to become part of the airports owners group but it's main use will be angel flights for military families and for Rotary international's MESA. Truly an honor to own and fly one of these espically when used to enrich others lives.

Oh wow! Beautiful design in that beauty! I work for someone who has a 650. I dream of getting a ride in it.
How awesome to be invited to ride along! Talk about awesome! I bet the flight attendant and pilots are miserable traveling to those beautiful places!

This is going to be super weird, Jeb
But was that car in the introduction an early 2010s Toyota Sequoia? I went purely off the presence of a rear window and washer to be an SUV, and the hood shaping led me to think Toyota.

jeb brooks. The Gulfstream is just a little bit bigger than the Phenom. Lol. Out of all of your private flying whats your favorite plane? I would love for you to do a comparison between the G280 and Challenger

Super cool! Your flight would have been Friday, March 24th? We did see the SpaceX launch from our hotel balcony in Melbourne Beach, FL. Thanks and how do we get awesome friends like your?

At 6: 51 when you are just about to land you'll see the Sonesta Macho Beach resort. We stayed there, highly recommend! And for takeoff on a commercial jet? Wow, you really feel it!

This blog is so offensive. Meanwhile people are having tough time affording high gas prices or expensive food prices. Jeb is showing off how life is great for him. Get lost Jeb.

Probably unrelated. But I noticed a new airline - Breeze Airline at our local airport in Hartford CT. Would you be able to review this airline for us? Thanks very much!
reply

Wonderful! Not only does the plane fly higher it is faster than commercial jets. Most World leaders should be flying on a Gulfstream instead of a Boeing or an Airbus.

I'm from Greensboro but now live in Hartford and I love it when you drive about Greensboro as I see my old hometown! I want to take a private jet soon!

This was amazing, I can only dream of going on a private jet but you never know airbus engineers would be MORTIFIED seeing how big those windows are.

If I had a privet jet I would go to Orlando or Fort Lauderdale even tho I could drive there. Also I love how Jeb smiles in every video it's nice. :)

Next time, you should take the lakeshore limited. The rails on the route are either Class 1 railroad or the rare amtrack owned tract.

First off incredible video! Flying private is definitely on my bucket list and this just proves it belongs there!
Second, no Jeb score?

So, so cool. Ive flown private twice, but it was for work, so not the same thing, and definitely not as fun. What an awesome experience!

Its not the plane or the flight, its the check in and ease of clearing customs and your car is washed and on the tarmac when you return.

Random comment but, you should explore Canada a little bit! Its more beautiful than most people think. (Yes I am Canadian.
