I did this same crossing on the Queen Mary 2, but I was in economy class in a teeny tiny interior room. The food in the Britannia restaurant wasnt anything like what you showed (it was mediocre. I only mention this so that if anyone else is considering this trip, know that the quality and comfort of the experience is greatly affected by the class of room you book. Its worth saving up to get the better room and food!

Ship please Jeb always remember you can put a boat on a ship but not vice verse. Very enjoyable for someone who has been on the Mighty Mary a couple of times. When I first cruised (1968) Im now 64 every night was a dress night however over the years this has been relaxed considerably over the years, some say for the good hardened old timers would say its gone too far the other way.

I'm all about slow travel. Your body can't adjust to air travel. Hey, I am retired, so why not enjoy the journey. To truly experience a place you have to walk through. I know that is not an option for trans ocean travel, but from my experience walking really connects you to your surroundings. Thank you for taking the time to create this video. Safe travels.

Thank you! That was great. I've been meaning to sail a Cunard ship across the Atlantic, particularly the Queen Mary 2, and now I have a pretty good idea of what it's like. Not too shabby! Oh, and congratulations on 100 million views. I'm having a little trouble getting my brain around a number that big.

Great video! Wonderful depiction of life on board the Queen Mary 2. I have made the crossing both directions staying in Queens Grill and I will do it again next summer! She is a phenomenal ship and so much to do. There are still things I haven't seen or done. Thanks for the memories!

Jeb I lived in Charlotte, NC. I think of the men that did not come that way by choice or on a fancy boat. My father fought the war, survived and when he came back on a hospital ship, lost his entire land and was forced into poverty. Thanks for your efforts.

Loved this video. Your excitement was palpable. but, I cringed each time you referred to the ship as a 'boat'. (In cases of ships, boats are the things that hang off the side of the ship)

I worked on Qm2 15 years ago. Back then you would have seen me performing in the Royal Court Theatre. Really proud to have worked on a piece of living history! Glad you had a great voyage!

What a wonderful crossing. Mine was on a guided missile cruiser, so we didn't have as much luxury. However, the feeling when coming home was awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Reminds me of my crossing although when I got to Brooklyn I had a car and driver waiting for me to take me to LaGuardia for my non-stop flight to Greensboro.
