I believe you could honestly say the Shiki-Shima is the QM2 of Japan. The forward observation cars would be a railfan's dream here in the US! Aside from the Rocky Mountaineer, it's truly unfortunate we don't have this type of classy service here.

Hi Jeb and Suzanne,
Thanks for the great video of the Japanese train. What a beautiful train! Jeb you said it right, this is futuristic and traditional at the same time!
Here’s to more in 2024!
Be well and safe,
Peter

I can't say that I was a big fan of the Horse Meat, maybe western bias. However the train looks fantastic, and maybe Suzanne did it to keep people guessing but if Jeb is actually short for Jefferson. that's pretty darn cool.

Absolutely wonderful! And Jeb you pull a big smile on me when referring to USA as NorthAmerica! Yeah! Finally someone acknowledge the fact that USA is only one country of the American Continent. Thank you.

Of all the amazing journeys you’ve gone on, I don’t think I’ve ever been more jealous than I was of this one. What a fantastic experience. Thank you for sharing it with us!

I've been trying to put my finger on what this train reminds me of. I finally figured it out. The First class part of the Snow Piercer train.

Fascinating! It makes me want to take a train more than to fly. I wish the US could improve the rail travel. Thank you Jeb and Suzanne.

Contrast with Alexander the Guest's recent video on the Orient Express and you'd be surprised at how that service fell short compared to this one.
