In this video, Ill share the top ten trips I took in 2020. It was an epic year, despite the unusual circumstances. Compared to 2019, 2020 meant 11 fewer airlines 256. 5 fewer hours 85 fewer flights 20 fewer airports 13 fewer countries 89, 440 fewer miles But, in this video, Ill still share some highlights

I was able to take advantage of some cheap deals to Cabo San Lucas this year and went for 8 Days in October for my birthday. I know it's kinda silly, but Los Cabos Airport was the first time I've ever boarded a plane by bus. Even though it was a standard run of the mill Alaska 737-800, it was still kinda cool to see it from ground level. Also for some odd reason I was moved from the back of the pain to the bulkhead seat in Premier Class (Economy Plus/Extra) Hey. Extra legroom and a free beer for a 4hr flight that I didn't have to pay any extra for. I'll take that any day

I experienced overnight Amtrak for the first time this year and fell in love! In October, I took the Southwest Chief from Chicago to LA, then the Pacific Surfliner to San Diego. Visited a friend for a few days then took toe Pacific Surfliner and Coast Starlight all the way to Seattle where we stayed a couple days. Then The Empire Builder to Glacier Park for a few days, and then back across to Chicago with a quick trip on the City of New Orleans back home in Champaign, Illinois. 12 days, 4900 miles, and you can bet I will do it again!

Jeb, if you are comfortable with it, it would be awesome to see a video on how you booked a lot of these trips. If you paid an arm and a leg for cash fares and are uncomfortable with sharing the details, don't sweat it. However, it would be awesome to hear if you were able to find some deals or points/miles redemptions that made these possible. I think a lot of us viewers would be interested in learning how to make these trips a reality for ourselves.

My favourite trip, only for the memories it invokes, is the Inn 'N' Out Burger at LAX. I have spent many a happy moment there. I'm sat here in a locked-down England, where even travel to a different part of my city is illegal, and dreaming if travel. I can't wait to fly. See you in the sky, once this lockdown is over!

I'm becoming a fan of the train travel as it seems so much more relaxing and not so crowded. I travelled by air for over 40 years before I retired and I don't miss it. We want to take a trip across Canada, particularly the west end. When that border opens, may be a trip for you from Vancouver to Toronto or Montreal?

My most memorable trip of 2020 was the trip from my bed to my kitchen. It was a trip I did by foot, lounge access to the bathroom to brush my teeth. The lounge was stacked with toothbrush and toothpaste and soap. All the amenities. The kitchen was a let down because had to prepare my own breakfast

Love all your videos. I was meant to have gone to turkey for 2 weeks at the end of may begin of June last year but it was cancelled. The only good thing about last year was been able to help play my full part in feeding the nation in the UK. P. s congratulations on your engagement

What makes these videos so great is because Im not an aviation enthusiast and I enjoy these videos. I find myself looking up at the sky and saying oh thats a Boeing 737 and I find myself thinking how did I know that. Moral of the story is keep up the great work love your videos

We had a Dec 2020 Singapore/Thailand/ Vietnam cruise booked, which got canceled. That might have been our one and only shot at seeing Southeast Asia because not sure I'd be up for going to that part of the world now.

Love it Jeb. Many congrats on your engagement. Perhaps, when things are up and running again, you may find the need for a tag along in the form of me. I'm easy and very low maintenance! Have a great day!

Some really good content in 2020 given the circumstances and all. The standouts for me were the Amtrak videos along with the Cincinnati airport video. More of these would be awesome to watch!

remembering seing you in Copenhagen - wasnt sure at the time if it was you, but realized seing the sas video that was. My wife and I was on our way home to Greenland from Marocco back then.

Jeb. I fly allegiant all the time, they have an option to skip all the extra stuff they try to get you to add. If you just do the ticket only they will let you change seat at airport
reply

Thanks for the shout out to aviation people. I haven't dispatched a plane or sent a flight plan since last march. And doesn't look like I will any time soon at this point.
reply

Congratulations on the engagement Jeb (done with the best Kermit the Frog impression of yeah! Why am I not surprised you got engaged in an airport?
Thanks for the videos.

I was lucky to work on the Delta 777s throughout the summer months as a cargo flight. Every pilot I spoke to told me they prefer the 777s to the other wide body planes.

Hi Jeb.
Congratulations on your engagement!
I think your St Helena adventure was a plane trip I enjoyed the most.
Quite the out of the way little island!

reply

St Helena is still my favorite trip of yours. It is a one of a kind airport, a unique destination to visit.
And that view from Jacob's Ladder is really something

Congratulations on your engagement. Loved all the vids, but you have convinced me I do not want to ride a train. Unless its the orient express. LOL Until the next.

Please just somehow figure out how to get into ORD, or MDW. Mostly ORD, probably impossible, but worth the try! And I loved your amtrak videos this year!

Rumour has it Jeb will be sleeping on the couch for the foreseeable future, for not making the trip where he got engaged number one on the list: -p

I remember suggesting Amtrak sleeper reviews at the beginning of the pandemic, and they definitely delivered.
We all lived in interesting times.

Im a Burlington native and UNCG alumnus and get down there a few times a year. If youre into scifi, come to Con-gregate in July over in Winston.

Happy New year Jeb, hope to see more great videos soon. This year has to be better than last one, it shouldn't be that hard since last year was crap.

Congratulations on your engagement. My favorite trip is from my office to my home. 1. 3 minutes drive. Looking for all the Pandemic Positives!
