STUCK IN NEW YORK! British Airways vs American Airlines Economy Class!
video description
Then a man went to the restroom and the female attendant told him in a tone dripping with condescension that the seatbelt light was on. He said he knew but he had to go. She told him If we hit turbulence and you crack your skull open that's on you, rolled her eyes, then proceeded to loudly talk crap about him to another passenger the entire time he was using the facilities. I dont care if she was having the worst day of her career, that was inexcusable. I vowed to never fly them again and 13 years later I still haven't.

Noel, I'm sorry to hear had such a bad experience on American Airlines. United Airlines is even worse. They seem to HATE passengers. It's god-awful My question is WHY did you take a US carrier at all? Sorry mate but you should know that most US carriers (other than Southwest and JetBlue which I like) are usually horrible. You know better mate. I'm glad you live in the US now but I sometimes wonder why you moved from the UK to here. Anyway, you are welcome and we're glad to have you but seriously if I lived in the UK, I would not move here: ) Anyway, please do more US airline reviews and please do NAIL them on bad service so perhaps it can get better. BTW, I have not had any bad service on BA and I do love Virgin Atlantic as well

Noel, your vlogs are so much more informative than those of the much better known jazz guy 13 and simply aviation producers (I am convinced they are all related, if not the very same parties) - you really include the human touch. My own most memorable flights came in 1970 nd 1971 - - - New Jersey to Vietnam both ways on DC8-63CF planes. 29 hours over with 3 ground stops, 24 back with two stops. Japan to Seattle in 7: 15; pilots had to throttle back to avoid going supersonic! Is there anything flying today that can compare with those planes?

I had no idea you were based in Mansfield! I live in Sutton. Been watching your videos for a long time. If you ever fancy a beer, let me know. I originally started watching because I have a fear of flying, and your videos really calm me down. You have absolutely no fear (most of the time: D, and it just makes me want to relax and enjoy my flights. Keep it up, you've absolutely nailed it. If you ever fancy doing a video with a nervous flyer, let me know.

It's not often your aircraft can race another, I remember on my way home from Malaysia in 2009 our Air Asia plane was racing with another plane just a few hundred feet below us to our right I was lucky enough to be able to watch the other plane from my seat, we lost but it was all good and fun we also ended up landing early at the gold coast airport that trip had 6 flights in it over 2 weeks but that last one is one i will never forget

. 14: 50 -- Enjoying the two of you being a couple. Clearly an ease of companionship that comes so naturally only after a long time together.
. 25: 58 -- You know, you have to take Rachel along more often. When you're a twerp, we need to see times when she's a twerp right back.
. Besides, it was a pleasure to see the two of you sharing a trip together. I hope we hear from the pair of you more.

I hope American Airlines watches this. My only, and consistent, complaint about the airline is service. I fly many times each year, mostly with American, and usually first class. However, regardless of the cabin class the service is highly variable with bad service being the norm. Its like most of the employees awaken in bad moods and feel free to share it all day.

I hate to say this but, if a flight attendant is not in the mood or having a bad day, stay home or find another job, they need to leave their problems at the door, they are representing an entire airline and cant afford to be nasty on top of it, if a flight attendant tells me take it or leave it, Ill say, Ill take your name and write a report, great vlog.

I've flown the BA 787 from Toronto to Heathrow and back in 2012, I believe. It was crowded, the economy class seats have had padding removed, are closer together, and the seat pitch is useless. That's what turned me off on 787s(client paid for economy ticket) and I have refused to fly 787 Cattle-Class ever since. on any airline.

I've only been to NY once and went AA. Big bloke at the back of the plane, doing nothing, I honestly thought he was security. American woman came round giving my food out, and literally said here and dumped it on my table. I thought American's were meant to have excellent customer service skills.
BA back and MUCH better

Another thing Ive found on pretty much all US airlines is that the closer to the back of the plane you are sitting (in economy) the less choice youll get. I was on one flight that was only a couple of hours and we had to buy food, by the time the trolley got to me there was no food left, not even pringles!

Watching the transfer to baggage on the Airport Car reminds me of the first time I flew through Heathrow. We traveled to Florida with four little kids, ages 18 months to 6 years old. They gave us a ride to the connecting gate, and the staff was very professional courteous, and kind the whole way.

Enjoyed this Noel, Im happy to see now that Aer Lingus new UK branch will be starting up Services from Manchester to Destinations in the USA and Barbados, Im probably going to book an economy ticket to New York on the A321 LR, would be very good for me instead of connecting down in Heathrow or Dublin,

It really made me sad about you having rude staff on American Airlines. I hope American Airlines found out about that. That should not be tolerated! I've never been treated rudely
by any airlines and am so sorry you experienced that. I'm in North Carolina. Enjoyed this video.

Sadly I have to agree. The BA staff were far better. Having come across Northwest and Continental (remember them) pond hopping being the same as those AA staff, I am not surprised. Having said that, I did come across some lovely American staff, but it is rarer.

I remember on a Singapore Airlines flight a couple who couldnt eat either of the meal options in cultural grounds. The cabin crew went through all other options, salads etc. all declined, in the end they were politely offered a bread roll each!

I avoid flying AA at all costs. If Im flying domestic, I go with Jet Blue or Southwest. If international, I try to go with a European airline, as I find them to be more friendly and accommodating. The cabins are also better.

Did you know the Heliport in lower Manhattan is across the street from the Vietnam Memorial? If you visit the memorial during the day, the sound of choppers landing and departing adds an element of realism to the memorial site.
