I flew the same route back in April 2015. Economy, of course. Security at ORT were interested to know why I went by that route (chosen by the travel company as part of a cheap safari package. Quite liked the long aisle departure shopping experience at ORT, which is surprising as I generally hate airports. The first leg was a bus flight: -( On the way down it there were few passengers and it was overnight so we all stretched out over the rows of seats to get some sleep. Naff all else to do, it was literally an old Airbus (possibly an A330, can't really remember with no entertainment to speak of. The transfer experience at Cairo was. interesting and not in a good way. Remember that bare corridor, that's for sure. Didn't dare use the airport loos. The Cairo-Heathrow leg was better, and daytime. One good thing: the livery had the Eygpt Air logo, Horus, on the inside of the winglets, flying alongside looking after us. maybe. Wouldn't do it again. The next time I went to Jo'berg on Alitalia out of London City via Milan Linate and Rome. That was an experience too: -(

As a mother of a toddler who has the luxury of being able to fly Business Class I am really sickened by some of the comments around screaming kids on planes. Babies and Kids often cry from time to time on planes due to ear pressure and also being confide in such a small space. Its about how well behaved they are or not. I fly business class with my toddler because toddlers need room to move around and space to play. There will always be kids crying on planes whether its first, business or economy class - ts part and parcel of flying. If you think paying extra for Business class means this prevents you from being subjected to crying then i suggest you pay for your own private plane when you want to travel.

As some point in the journey, and to my utter, utter mortification, he vomited over the poor passenger in the seat behind. Quick as a flash, the crew sprinkled fresh coffee on the vomit, produced a new set of clothes for the passenger behind and on leaving, while still expressing my groveling apologies to the passenger, he told me not to worry. The crew had given him the email of their marketing team who would be refunding his ticket in full as well as issuing another free business class ticket anywhere on their network. Now that's service!

Honestly babies shouldn't be allowed in the business class cabin, and there should be a designated area of premium or economy for parents with them with adequate soundproofing.
Flights are very stressful for babies and I don't blame the children, the parents are responsible, if they're unable to control the screaming then they should not be allowed in the premium cabins, in the same way you wouldn't allow a boombox to be blasted in the cabin. The airlines should accommodate them by having sound proofed baby areas on planes in the premium econ and economy cabins, if only to improve everyone else's flight experience.

I travelled on Egypt Air with my husband to Pakistan in 1990 and we had to take a connecting flight from Cairo at that time the service wasn't that good either. We travelled in Economy Class. I think the food was okay though I can't remember as it was a long time ago. The flight was also delayed by ten or more hours in Karachi too. We also wanted to sightsee in Cairo too but we had less time we were put into a hotel for a couple of hours before our flight to London

My longest ever travel departure delay. 8 hours on a train in Canada with no announcement past about hour three or so, screaming kids. had a couple of those over time and travel (get noise canceling headphones as others have said here, flew Egypt Air twice. no real complaints. Dry flights? Yeah, you better do your homework before you buy your ticket. Being asked or extorted for money. that happens depending who you are dealing with. Welcome to travel.

I genuinely do not feel bad for you at all regarding the baby. Its a baby, it cant be put in economy and they deserve to be comfortable as well. You could perhaps put on headphones! Or even better earplugs! Its crazy how there are solutions to these problems instead of filming a child who is clearly having a rough time. You are a grown adult able to regulate your emotions, the baby is not.

Flew Egypt air from HHeathrow to Cairo years ago on a 777. I remember the return flight being the smoothest ever, zero turbulence what so ever. It was a good flight, the cabin crew were all men which stood out to me as someone used to flying the likes of BA where they are almost always women. Baby in business class, well if a woman has a baby and flies business they bring their baby!

We've flown business class several times with our baby this past year. We pay full price and enjoy the comforts of business class as opposed to economy. Our baby occasionally cries but not the entire time. While I do recognize that business class passengers expect no kids, there is no rule against bringing small children aboard here. Sorry about your flight though, sounds tough.

Asking parents to calm their kid is so wrong on so many levels. Do you think parents wish that their baby cry for the whole night? And they are listening to the cries with baby in the lap. And you have problem from the other side of the plane. Every parent try their best to keep their children happy. I am sure those who are criticizing parent never had kids.

There is nothing worse than a screaming baby - I am sorry but the mother knew what was going on because she had her headphones in! It must have been tough on the rest of the passengers. People should be aware that for some people - such as anyone with Sensory Processing Disorder or Autism, the sound of a screeching baby is actually physically painful.

Egypt air sucked sooo bad. NEVER again 1 flight from Cairo to Athens was more then enough. rude cabin and groud crew, unadible food, got half frozen tomatoes and chicken even though I ordered fish. dirty, disgusting, no one in their right mind should choose this aitline. Furthermore the muslim prayer was just too much for me.

I think all airlines should have a small three seat section at the back of the planes for a parent to take a child if it begins screaming. a sound proof room where the baby or child can have its tantrum while not desturbing other passengers and a relief to the parent to be able to deal with their child without hostility.

I once had flight where my ears were aching badly and all countermeasures for pressure balancing didn't really work. Now imagine being a baby and your parents do not even understand what's going on.
I also once had to pair of large dogs in the cargo hold beneath me that were barking the whole flight.

It is a damn shame seeing this. As an Egyptian, Ive had to use their services a lot of visit home. And on pretty much all of the flights Ive been on the staff were wonderful and clearly passionate about their jobs, but its just a classic example of an airline with potential ruined by poor management.

I had a screaming baby once on an Egyptair flight from Dubai to Cairo redeye flight it was hell especial given the one and a half hour delay thanks to the weather and staying in a holding pattern over Sharm el sheikh for 30 minutes and then landed at Sharm refueled and went back to Cairo

Why would you bring a screaming baby into Business class what a ridiculous comment. If youve got the money, why would you take your baby into economy? Youd obviously pick a more comfortable seat. Its hardly like theyre in a constant state of screaming. Such an entitled comment.

$15 for 13 mb. Insane.
I am currently in a row with Qatar Airways to try to get a partial refund for a broken premium economy seat on a 13 hour seat. With no recline (and the person in front of me fully reclined, it was so much worse than economy.

Have traveled in trains and planes with middle eastern parents with young children a few times. It may be a cultural thing, but for some reason on more than one occasion the parents juts let the young children scream and its excruciating
