18hrs on a MONGOLIAN Airline: How Bad Can It Be? Monyx2: My father, who was not Mongolian, was a Professor of Mongolian and Tibetan languages and literature here in California. We lived all over the world, from Turkey to Sweden and Costa Rica when I was a child; however, our home base was always in California. When he flew to Ulaanbaatar to receive a special award, I think he flew a Chinese airline for that flight in the late 1960s or early 1970s, he loved to tell the story of that flight. I was a young child, but I remember him telling me that people put live chickens in the overhead bins during the flight and one person brought a sheep on the flight! How cool is that? I love Mongolian people and the culture. In fact, my godfather, Unensechen, was Mongolian, and my middle name is a Mongolian name. My father has passed away, and I miss my daddy a lot.

2: 22 (hit pause straight away to see what I mean. Did the Express Tests just straight up steal their idea for their logo from Transpennine Express?
27: 32 How many other people were beat him to the finger up the arse comment? Was thinking it looked like that situation too.
29: 46 Some very subtle body language as his hand movement looks like a person about to put on a rubber glove. Im guessing he was genuinely convinced this was a real possibility at the time and relieved it wasnt.

I am a bit confused, you were originally given seat 3A and the FA pointed you to the other side of the airplane. Also, initially it seemed that you were sitting on the left side after swapping to 1A but then the rest of the video you were on the right side. So I guess I am wondering if you swapped sides or if A starts on the right side of the aircraft rather than as in most other airlines on the left side.

Answer to that Carpet. It's a praying carpet most likely. My fiance flew from Usa to Finland whit SAS and this one guy needed to do his prayers on a flight, because of his religion. Then he prayed his prayers on yhe flight in certain time.
What was amazing is when my wife told me that other passengers would not mind at all and gave this Men his privacy and respect.

There are funny abbreviation explanation for all airlines.
MIAT stands for Maybe I Arrive Today.
ALITALIA Always Late In Takeoff Always Late In Arrival,
Lufthansa stands for Lazy, Unable for? help(forgot the word for letter T, Absolutely No Service Available.
Etc. forgot others.

Airports give me anxiety overall. I'm still a reasonably new flyer and of course my connecting airport is a HUGE one.
I'm always nervous trying to find my gate in the large airport.
I can't imagine flying internationally. Thats a whole new level of anxiety.

Can't be bad seen as you fly business class on every airline you use.
Mix it up a little and maybe review economy classes and what you get which I feel is a lot more relevant to your viewers than all these snobby business and first class reviews.

Such a nice meal for just a 3 hour flight. And here in US you get a freaking tiny peanut pouch on a 4 hour flight. Greedy bastards, well I guess that's Capitalism at it's finest. They need to make sure their CEOs getting paid millions

FRA was a hassle for us too, but the tomato and mozzarella sandwiches (on freshly baked bread) we had there were amazing. Remarkably good for anywhere, but an airport! One of the best things I ate during my 2 weeks in Germany.

I take my living room carpet everywhere with me its a bugger on the bus and every time I go out the Mrs gets a new carpet. Now I have 35 shag pile Axminsters in my garage. Am I doing something wrong?

22: 30 min. VERY posh breakfast. Waaaaayyy better than anything Air Canada (or other N-Americain airlines) comes up with. Oh, but wait. you're in business class. No fair comparison.

Check-in process is always a nightmare with MIAT as it always takes about an hour just to check in at Tokyo. Seems like they just don't deploy enough people and are inefficient.
reply

Why do you never check in online before hand? I dont think Ive checked in at a counter in like eight years but you do it in every video and its a hassle for you each time.

So true. I was in Frankfurt airport just over a week ago and it can be tricky. It helps if you speak German. And that woulld a darker than usual episode of Peppa Pig!

I would be so stressed by your check-in experience, that I'd be just one look away from a meltdown. I'd have got my things from the desk and would have gone home.

I love living vicariously through your trips around the world. I personally love your Loo Reviews! LOL! Some of those airlines have really good and comfy seats!

$1623. 33 ticket price is that the half of a return flight or did you buy a 1-way? (it seems a pretty good deal for a business class ticket)
reply

I have done a connection through Frankfurt, it was from London Heathrow to Cape Town with british airways to Lufthansa, nightmare
reply

OMG I did not know shrimp (prawns) was not available in Germany wait maybe Noel is making a joke about Mongolia food Never mind.
reply

You seriously didn't know what the reason for bringing a carpet with you? Talk about the stereotype of the Englishman abroad.
