Having recently got back from my first time ever at The Great Dorset Steam Fair, I thought I would make a video on it. I was so impressed with the vast number and variety of steam engines, tractors, motorbikes and diggers around But what impressed me the most was the passion and dedication that the owners of had put into the restoration and maintenance of these fantastic machines. Not only was their a vast amount of machinery to see, but there was also a large stables with shire horses pulling ploughs, as well as many talented people practising their skills and crafts such as basket weaving, sawing etc. A worthwhile event that is one of the largest of its type in the world. I believe that some one gathered all the names of places in the British Iles & sprinkled it all over Canada. Imagine my surprise when doset was the site of a steam fair. In Ontario Canada Dorset is in the middle of a large forest. I'm going on a 2 week canoe trip there next week. Brian 76

Nice one, me and the wife were there but we missed the bike tent and country show area, damn we should of studied the site map better, cheers bud, atb, Paul.

I've been to quiet a few small scale steam fairs, but this was my first time at The Great Dorset Steam Fair. What a spectacle
