Last year, I bought my fiancee the Leki trekking poles you showed. After several overnight trips in the Adirondacks, she likes them, though we didn't use trekking poles prior to last year so I guess there's nothing to compare them to! I use the Black Diamond poles you have.
On the pillow, I have tried several different ones and recently found one that I really like from Outdoor Vitals. I find that I still need a pillowcase of sorts for it to be truly comfortable though even though it has a soft texture. I usually cover it with my fleece or something.

I love the G 260s. They have great grip and feel like Spidey Woman in them. They seem like they will last a lot longer than my Altras, which my pocketbook will appreciate. I always size up a full size for my hiking shoes and these ran very big for me. I get a size 8 in a Women s Altra, but wear a size 7 in the G 260s. I would like a little more cushioning, so I would also like to know how people like the G270s.

Thanks Dixie for all the entertainment! . what about combining your camping with a motorcycle trip across the arctic circle? .2 roads go across the arctic circle in North America. The Dempster Highway is my Fave. Honda ct 125 or similar is basically a glorified bicycle. And very manageable for a newbie! A fresh Angle. Kick it up a notch! Go big or go. All the best!

Farm to Feet are good. I actually prefer the cushioning placement in them to Darn Tough, and they offer pretty much the same guarantee as Darn Tough. I use an Arcyteryx Cerium SL vest. love the placement of the synthetic insulation (wish there was a tad bit more under arm. I do however hate the slim fit of all Arcteryx clothing. doesn't work well if you're stocky.

Dixie should try a Goose Feet Gear pillow with a a flex air pillow for extra loft.
I have the extra large goose feet gear pillow with extra down stuffing and an inflatable pillow for more loft. I have flex air pillows to try this spring.
I have been happiest with this down backpacking pillow with an inflatable pillow set up so far.

I really like my Sea to Summit Aeros UL pillow! I m a side-sleeper and I like a firm pillow, so I inflate it fully, and it s just like my pillow at home. I bought mine before they came out with lock-to-your-pad thingy but I like to curl my arm under my pillow, so I don t need that feature.

Best wishes to your family and was wondering will you be carrying a face mask with you to go into stores when your resupplying in certain areas. Just wondering because I know you can use your bandana but you also can use a stick for tracking poll just wondering. Good luck on your hike.

I no longer can hike more than 3 or 4 miles because of a bad knee and back but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos. They bring back many wonderful memories of the back country. If you are not formilar with Outdoor Vitals you should give them a look.

I had an Arc'teryx Cerium SL without a hood and returned it for replacement after two years. The down just never stopped poking through the jacket.
Got a Proton LT hooded instead from them with synthetic down. Been happy with it for 3 years now.
