Where do you poop? How do you keep clean? How do you take care of your feet? What do you do about your period? In this video I take you through my entire hygiene routine from the time I wake up until I go to sleep so hopefully any questions you have about hygiene on the PCT will be answered!

I also find a sleeping bag liner very useful and maybe a tad refreshing. It Might not fall under hygiene but when you are stinky after a long day of hiking and can't clean up it's nice to have the sleeping bag liner. So much easier to clean the liner then your down sleeping bag if it gets smelly. Can just throw it in with the other items when you get to a town and do laundry. Nothing better then a fresh smelling liner to make you feel cozy in your sleeping bag even if you don't feel so clean.

They caught a guy setting up 25 micro cams in the most obvious choice for woman to use the bathroom. he has about 50 different girls washing up. a few had real closeups of girls bending over and exposing them lick holes. very hairy tho but really nice close ups of their muffs. some actually showed poop exiting their butts. plop plop.

I've only hiked 657 mi on AT plus 50 mi on PCT, 25 miles on Co Trail so far but I'm always really weird about the beginning of my cycle on trail. I'm afraid it's attracting mountain lions or bears. Can you reply about this concern. Have you heard of any issues esp in Grizzly country?

There are two related sayings: faster than stink on shit and faster than flies on shit. Well I like to say stink gets there first but flies aren't far behind. For those of us who have pooped in the wild you will notice that flies will get there before you are done cleaning up.

Great tips. Baking soda can be used as a deodorant too and to clean your petrels so to speak. We have big problems here where you know what the previous explorers had for breakfast. It's so bad. Thank you, it's nice to see compassion for the surroundings.

Thank you for this & oh my gosh, the underwear you recommended is incredible! They actually cover my arse & stay in place. That's such a rarity. The only downside is the crazy long tag that loves to wedge in my booty crack. Scissors = problem solved!

I didn't want to mess with hair, so I cut mine all off, and wore a hat ( but I'm a guy. Baby wipes are better than TP. Wet Bandanna in baggy, and small camping towel. for, washing all over Toothbrush & paste a must. No to deodorant. Yes to sunscreen.

Mine problem is, that I have greasy hair in like day and half from washing them. And the problem isnt beauty, but it freacking hurts. My headscalp is burning, I have migraines etc, when I dont wash them. i don't know why, maybe the heaviness? It sucks.

If you're prone to UTIs I don't recommend the shake off method. You need to wipe and avoid touching yourself with dirty hands or using a cup. You're already going to be grimy down there from dirt, sweat, and sometimes blood.

I prefer the menstrual disc, it is a one cycle use only, no boiling. Only problem is it needs to be rinsed every 12 hours before throw away at the end of the cycle. Might be difficult on a trail.
