I am fortunately, and unfortunately, in the position of having to buy another car and I don't buy brand new. I try to go no older than a few years and certainly, no more than 35000 miles, and I was driving the previous generation 2022 armada, and I just could not find a comfortable seating position and felt like I was sitting up too high. Like the seat needed to be able to go vertically down lower by a couple of inches. So instead, I went for more comfort, and I wanted at least a little, tiny bit of sportiness, that also gave me legit. 2 speed transfer case, 4 wheel, low. and towing capacity, that's at least something. and so I'm going in the direction of a 2022 or so Jeep Cherokee L. .Which doesn't really seem to be too much different than a dodge durango, except for nicer, more comfortable things. THOUGHTS

The 2025 Armada is going to sell very well compared to to many full size SUVs in this category. It’s going to be all about price. The Armada is also going to take some sales from Infiniti with QX80. The Armada is topping $82K in the Platinum reserve will the QX80 Tops $113K with options that many will not use. Averages family incomes in the US is somewhere around $50 -$75K. In my opinion the Armada does fit majority of wants for average families.

It’s official Alex. The sequoia LX GX and Land Cruiser are history. They’re toast. They’re ostensibly and soon to be objectively been discontinued
Nissan knocked it out of the park. They understood, researched, engineered, and executed miles better than Toyota will ever do for any model they have
Well done Nissan. The armadas the new sequoia. The real sequoia however the less said about it the better

It looks awfully nice, and I hope more people consider this as a serious option while shopping in this segment. However, I don’t think anyone will ever be able to take down the GM full-sized SUV triplets, they’ve ruled this segment since it was conceived and don’t look to be giving up that spot anytime soon. But more competitive vehicles like this Armada is good to have as an alternative!

Alex, While Nissan's Armada boldly sets sail with lower MSRP than the competition, it typically suffers Battle of Trafalgar levels of depreciation shortly thereafter. I wonder if the people who buy these monster body-on-frame SUVs with rear wheel drive would be happier with a Country Squire, Buick Roadmaster, Colony Park or Caprice Estate.

26: 32 At least some general stores in the 19th century are known to have had brass tacks affixed to the counter for measuring yards of fabric or what-have-you. So when you were actually ready to make a purchase, the clerk would bring your item down to the brass tacks. But that's just one theory of the origin.

This Armada is looking great. Historically the Armada has always felt like the awkward, lower-rent alternative to the Land Cruiser. However with the latest LC really dropping the ball, this Armada is now the choice option. Even moreso if it was called the Patrol - at this point a global icon unto itself.

I’m checking out the new Tahoe but I have to say this new armada is really attractive. Similar performance as the 6. 2 but only needs regular. Yes I’m buying a truck and I care about fuel economy coz regular is $4. 50 in my area

All I want from car manufacturers is basic, reliable, long lasting design. Where in reality all of them are producing poorly made, plastic garbage with screens. Also I hope Nissan won't have trouble with this engine like Toyota does.

The problem for the Nissan, if they are trying to take share from the Sequoia, which they are, is this engine is less powerful, and less fuel efficient than the Toyota hybrid. I think the vehicle itself is better, though

My first impression of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer was that it was just plain. plain and somewhat ugly. The Wagoneer just looks old too. The Koreans are the ones who are being forward thinking in their designs.

This is miles better in every way over the Toyota competition. I drove the Sequoia and it was just terrible. It had terrible ride, a boring, cheapo interior, and almost no space behind the third row.

In our side of the world we have 2 engine types a twin turbo & a natural one. Which one would you recommend as I keep hearing problem with the twin turbo engines in general. Thanks

It looks very good.
However I would either wait for the inevitable heavy discounts on the hood, or in a year or two a CPO with low mileage at 35-40% off msrp

I still say the 37mpg on the highway diesel Tahoe is the clear choice in this segment. This is nicer than I was expecting from the Nissan though

I've owned a Tahoe. I currently own a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Overland model; I will take this new Armada, in Pro4x trim, hands down.

Nissan SUVs have become pretty good. Now do the same with your cars and ditch the CSV for most models and lower the Z price by 5k
