I have the same trim level as this car, the XLE; and maybe its partly the cloth, but the seats are SO firm I had a Prius before with the Softex seat material. They were much more comfortable. I thought about maybe having Katzkin leather installed; but thats pretty expensive and wouldnt change how the foam in the seat feels I dont think. For now, Im getting a seat cushion for the seat. Im hoping that over time the foam will soften. Also, the cloth is nowhere near as nice as the cloth that I had on a 2000 Corolla. This fabric feels almost scratchy, and not as thick. I would have bought an XSE trim, but I didnt like the black wheels; and I didnt want to spend more for a Limited version. Also, the trim on the doors is softer in the Limited. Its all hard plastic in the XLE. Not a huge deal, just a little disappointing. I love the way it drives, though Keep doing more videos like this, I like this sort of vlog style

I-5 is brutal. Speed limit is wacko. 60 for semis. 70 for cars. Semis take up all the lanes except the left. It is no fun. If you dont go fast, you get tail gated, honked, flashed, run off the road, flipped off. not for the faint of heart. I use to be a nice guy. My 2 hour a day commute has made me a grouch. Lol.

As much as I like all the hybrids and plug in hybrids coming on the market I think its just part of a sign that something else is wrong and that our current living arrangement needs to be examined. Numerous people have written on the topic but not many have listened. Sorry if this is a little off topic, great video anyways.

Everyone complaining about them being the left lane clearly hasn't driven I5, Basically the left lane is for cars, the right lane is for trucks, because all of the cars are doing 80+ MPH. You really only need to move over to the right if you are holding up multiple people. Its just the way people drive in CA.

38mpg is what Toyota has estimated for highway driving, 42 in the city for a combined average mpg of 40mpg. Hybrids get better fuel economy at lower stop & go speeds where the hybrid system is able to take advantage of the coasting and slowing and stopping and going.

Wow, all this people complaining about the left lane, with the right lane obviously full of trucks going slower. This is how people drive, faster than the limit everywhere, all the time, quit acting like this is such a horrible thing.

I have a friend who recently bought one of these in silver. Nice vehicle in almost all respects. Excellent mph, esp for what it is. But damn, it is butt ugly, imo. And what is with the industrys addiction to black plastic cladding.

OMG. what is dinner like. The shape of the meatloaf promotes poor mpg and wind noise. I rented a RAV4 and agree the car is loud on the road noise scale. My Subaru outback is much quieter. Much quieter.

Driver i'm known to have a lead foot Confrmed. all left lane driving. MPG could have been 39+ if you stayed under 70. I own one. Best way to get better MPG is to adjust the nut behind the steering wheel.
