2020 Audi Q3 Redefining The Small Luxury Crossover

OK, maybe it's a bit bold to say that the Q3 is breaking the mold, but I was honestly surprised that Audi decided to be so aggressive with design and feature content in their new Q3. The engineers could have easily phoned in a right-sized Q5 or just lifted an A3 hatchback up but instead they gave us more of a scale-model Q8 with a value proposition that should make Volvo worried. The XC40 had been the best deal in this segment but the new Q3 makes an even better argument for itself. The only major issue? It could use a bit more oomph. Ficon: This Aisin 8-speed is also used in the Camry. Odd how much slower and thirstier the Q3 is than the GTI considering it's the same engine and it can actually put the power down. Must be the Camry gearbox at work. I'm befuddled by the fact that you can't get heated steering in the Q3. I'm in the market and that immediately took it off my shopping list.

Currently a very happy owner of a 2-year old A4 I must say I was very disappointed with the new Q3. The interior quality is just not what is expected from Audi; lots and lots of piano black plastic on the dash. I like much more the X1 interior as it makes you feel you are in a proper BMW. X1 back seat is considerably more comfortable and it has more cargo room. My issue with the X1 is the lack of some safety features not even available as options.

Hi Alex, you should include a maintenance and insurability segment. It seems like this information may play a significant role in helping people purchase their vehicles. It would be amazing to see you develop relationships with trusted mechanics and insurance brokers so that they could provide their feedback as well. Always amazing videos

Alex. terrific review as always. I just got a '20 Q3 Premium Plus. It drives beautifully and the seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in likely due the the extended thigh cushions. The only negatives is the less than stellar fuel mileage and the quirky apple Carplay. I shopped for months and I think I made the right choice.

that x1 is already dated? i like it for its comfort and interior space in the sub compact sav/suv market i think thats a key factor. the lack of foglights on the audi is a concern i like to drive with those on 24/7 along with the DRL. the mercedez GLB looks interesting looking forward to seeing its review in the future.

Is this really a luxury vehicle though? I know Audi says they are. Audi prices like a luxury vehicle. But. It's not MORE luxurious than the same vehicle from VW. It's not more luxurious than the stuff from Ford/GM/FCA either. Audi has become a lazy, overpriced auto maker. This vehicle is the proof.

Is there a possibility to add routine maintainance costs, like oil change interval and costs, info to reviews? Personally, i would like to compare Volvo XC40 and GLB. I am not sure about Audi q3.

Alex, in your comparison with the GLB, you forgot to mention the optional third row seating, which I think is the most compelling argument for it. That makes it almost a baby GLS.

Maybe the new version is better, but the Q3 I rented was slow, poorly built and cheap feeling, and, in my opinion, not worth what Audi is asking for, money-wise.

Shoot, come to think of it, you can get a nicely equipped Palisade for this price. Which interior/features are you picking? With your own money.
