Disagreeing with Toyota's marketing decisions is a risky proposition. The company has, after all, managed to sell more than a few vehicles over the years. They may well be right that it's not worth the investment to offer AWD with the NA V6 engines available for the Camry and Avalon but at least to me, it's a shame. I had assumed that the 2020 version of the Avalon represented Toyota's recognition that 60 is the new 40. Apparently not. And as someone smack dab in the middle of the Avalon's demographic I'd be drawn to the Charger and especially the Stinger before considering the Avalon.

Stinger is not available in version v6 Rwd only, here in Canada. Only the Awd is available, and I dont care about it, just like a camry, avalon or a prius Awd. It's much better to buy 4 snow tires than to pay more for these models which in addition have a lower energy efficiency. Awd don't brake better, it's just let you go farther in the snow bank.

No point harping on the 0-60 times in an AWD Avalon. The target market is for middle age folks or families living in the snow belt, not for young people looking to drag race. I can see sales to people who would have bought the AWD versions of all the large sedans that the American companies no longer make.

I hope they fix the transmission programming. I have a Rav4 2019 and it sucks in slow speed. It's always in a much higher gear and when you press the right foot a little more, it drops a couple of gears and instead of give more torque, it slows the car, so you need to floor to increase the speed.

I don't know why they're holding up with 4cyl motors. The venza was available with the 3. 5 v6 and 270ish HP. They've definitely had a very reliable drivetrain and it was well developed and very reliable. The venza was already based on the Camry platform and built in the same factory in Kentucky.

over here in the north east, old people and livery drivers use the avalon, dunno how many of them would opt for AWD? the rear does not look bad but that front its gone beyond big, they ran out of room. they need to fire the grill man and everyone who approved it.

You would think that Toyota should have more choices of engine sizes. Why not have the v6 AWD available. It's really disappointing. Well I was really hoping on the v6 AWD. Also it only has 201 hp. These car makers are really making it hard to buy sedans.

They need to add AWD with a V6. I was stoked to hear when they announced it, but they dont give it to the engine that just burns out its front tires when you floor it. The reason you buy an Avalon is for the standard V6 anymore.

Id probably take the normal FWD Avalon. For one I just dont live in an area thatd call for AWD, and I just want the V6 power. I do hope that if they give the Lexus ES an AWD option they keep the V6 since its a luxury car
