Cup 2s probably made up 3/4s of that 2 second a lap difference. Llandow is a good real world test, like for like. but once you throw cups in the mix. or even if one car is on Pirellis and the other is on PS4s. subtle tire variances on a circuit like Llandow make a notable difference.

Got to admire that BMW, that is one quick car, it just looks ugly though.
I see why you had to give the GR a flying lap and the BMW a standing start, the track is what, less than a mile? 2. 2 seconds is a lot of time, 60+m difference a lap, that's a lot.

Well the M4 was at a huge disadvantage with a standing start versus a flying start! On the other hand it is significantly heavier and that won-t help in corners. The AWD version will have better traction, but it-s going to weigh more again-.

what a great concept. it opens up so many possibilities for track comparisons which may give an insight into whether it is worthwhile going for - ostensibly - the more capable / expensive car.

now put the cup 2 in that yaris and see what that 2 seconds difference become: ) after 5-6 laps at a longer track, typical use in track days, the yaris will probably be ahead

Surprised you didn't have it in the wet, and make the lap even shorter than the very short lap it already was, to give yet more advantage to the GR.
Bit pointless imo.

And, the tuners are already all over the GR. A little backyard fiddling, some Cup 2s, and Snaggle Tooth will need the rolling start: )

A couple of years ago this would've been ridiculous, Toyota vs BMW's cream of the crop. That little Yaris is one hellavu piece of engineering
