Come along with Eric O. at the SMA shop as he goes through the procedure of changing a front hub assembly on a 2005 Buick Lacrosse. This vehicle has an ABS speed sensor built into the hub but some however do not. This is a pretty standard procedure for many makes and models of GM vehicles. Why do you put Loctite (blue) on the three bolts that hold the hub on? The bolts I've removed are always so freak'n tight I have to wire bush the exposed threads, then pray I don't snap the head off before it breaks loose, then work them back and forth on the way out while spraying them. I have the same question about caliper bracket bolts. I've heard it's not actually to lock the bolt, but rather to keep moisture out to make future removal easier. Would using Anti-Seize be Okay?

Very entertaining and funny. I love cars alway have, I like to work on my own stuff. Had a Honda S2000 by far was my favorite car, got hit by an SUV and she called it. So now I have a VW Passat with a 2. 5l shes been very dependable. Been keeping an eye on the transmission and probably going to service her and clean the Control Solenoids and replace the clutch packs. Just keep in front of it. Any thoughts?

I know this is a very late comment in the game here, but I made a wicked nice caliper hanger out of a long, heavy duty pegboard hanger. I put it in a vice, snapped off the fingers in the back (the ones that go into the actual pegboard, and bent the rod. Been using it for years.

Hey Eric. I have a 2008 Lucerne. I changed both wheel bearings in the front. All the plugs are connected, but now the ABS, Speed sensor, Tracking Control, etc. lights are on, and there is a intermittent squealing on the passenger side. Thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

Do you have factory manuals? Where could I get one for my car? I've had Haynes manuals which I was never very impressed with. but a genuine service manual from the manufacturer I'd like to have. my local auto shop does not carry these

What? Safety glasses? What is that all about? Real men don't need no stinking safety glasses! What's next? You gonna start using gloves full time too?
What is this world coming to?

Watching this video made it much easier to change both front bearings on my 2005 buick lacrosse cxl. Your very right about rust on NY vehicles. I live in Bath NY.

If you could compress the axle an the CV shaft would have way more room to work on those bearing bolts. Working on GM in dealer 10 plus NYC
