I have a look at a Jeep compass that came in with a customer complaint of ABS, traction and 4wd lights being on. The customer also stated that the speedometer is going nuts. Let's have a look

I have a question that I couldn't figure out I was working on a GMC Yukon and the guy said that when he goes over 55 the brakes start to apply with him stepping on the brakes I changed brakes lines to the calipers that didn't work can you tell me what that's about thanks

Haha I work on a lot of freightliner step vans like fedex delivery trucks. They have the tone rings exposed and get corroded and rusted all the time. The tone rings dont last nearly as long as the rotors they are part of.

love your humor, I'll never hit the x. I like some Jeeps, but the older ones with the 4. 0L. I was looking at the 2005-2006 Wrangler unlimited. 2 door with the extended body, and 5 or 6 speed manual. thoughts?

So happy we don't have that salt over here in South Africa. Pleasure following your adventures from here. Have a good one. Oh, we also don't have that white powdery stuff you guys get in the winter.

My boss G/F has a 2014 Compass and that thing with the small 4cyl motor sounds as if its going to explode! Drinks oil like a Toyota Camry 2. 5l. Nice ride on the compass for the most part.

That's incredible. I think if I lived in NY state I would park my vehicle in a two foot deep pit full of CRC 5. 56 or other penetrating lubricant. That'd learn all that bloody rust lol

Thank you for justifying my opinion that my next purchase should be a dumb old four wheel drive instead of an all-wheel.
Now to find one that doesn't have too many computers.

Eric, I worked on a Toyota matrix the other day and it had a code for debris on tone ring. Ended up needing a bearing. Was that the vehicle you were thinking of?

Hey Eric, have you worked on a Tesla? IYHO would you say that vehicle manufacturers should use stainless when it comes to suspension and steering components?
