This reminds me of my 95 Eagle talon TSI a number of years ago. I went to leave work one night and had power etc but no crank. I had almost no tools with me but I instinctively went after the low hanging fruit, is the low clutch switch being engaged. I go look, there's a hole in the bracket on the pedal that lines up perfectly with the clutch switch shaft. on the floor was the hardended broken rubber bumper that's supposed to sit in the hole. Found a little bumper at work that was close, RTV'd it in place. problem solved: D

I've seen a style of those pedal position switches where you can rotate the stem 90 degrees to 'unlock' it and get it back to the fully unadjusted position. Those ones like you found out you just pull hard.
Thousands of dollars of stuff disabled by a few cents of plastic, such is modern day life.

Could you imagine being the owner of this car seeing this video after you collected it from The Other Shoppe? So to fix my car, first you broke it some more, then sent it to some else to fix, then told me you fixed it? I hope the owner just comes direct to you next time Eric!

why bother send it back to the other shop, why not just complete the repair yourself? It is unbelievable that you get so many referrals from other shops that take vehicles in that can t diagnose simple problems like a bad clutch switch or a ground. Keep up the good work.

Hey Eric. Started my own small shop recently, curious if you prefer idenifix to Mitchell? Love Mitchell s writing diagrams and component test info since we work on all makes. Probably will only get one for now, curious which one you would get and why?

i had a fleet kia soul die while driving, under investigation found out they had a aftermarket gps tracker installed and the wire rubbed through on the dash blowing the main ignition 1 fuse. (wired rubbed through before the inline fuse LOL)

The last shop I worked at I had 2 cars in a row in one day that was having starting and lighting issues. Both ended up being missing rubber pieces missing from the brake pedal. Replaced the missing pieces, no issues. imagine that.

Off topic, but I hope you have had time to get your food plots prepared! Do either of the boys hunt yet? I still remember hunting with my dad over a half century ago, what a great way for fathers and sons to build lifetime memories.

Ran into something similar last week on a chevy cube van. No fuel pressure. While testing circuits found i had power coming up from fuel pump. Braided ground from frame to block was bad. Replaced the braid and she fired right up.

There s your problem lady!
Here s a four pronged dongle an a screwdriver. this is how you start it from now on.
Now to to turn her off, well you use your tongue on the dongle and touch the fender with your index finger.
