GMC Acadia: Hot On Driver Side / Cold On Passenger Side
video description
After putting all the correct wires back together I downloaded a diagram and found while installing a after market radio they reinstalled the control panel plugs into the wrong slots.
I put them in the correct ones and everything came back to life,

I have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer that is having actuator door problems right now, but when trying to find the part number to replace it, it is saying it could be 4 different ones and you have to remove the original to determine which one is correct. The one that is bad is hidden behind a support brace for the dash. I know it is bad because it is making a loud clicking noise when trying to adjust the location for the air flow (dash, floor, or top. While it is clicking, you can literally feel that it is that one making the noise.

I have an envoy xuv, ive spent many hours kissing the gas pedal in that same position you were in. Not pleasant. Everytime the battery dies or is disconnected, the actuator fails to recalibrate. Clicking for a min or two. Very annoying sound btw. Then gives up. Long story short i hope my battery never dies or ill be there again. Taking it out then putting it back in works sometimes. Sometimes its replace it again. This vid helped alot to understand how it works. Thank you for that. Very fussy lil assuators lol

My 09 F150 with auto climate had a blower resister failure (failed to full speed) Replaced the resister and now I can only run the fan to about mid speed otherwise the the blower cuts out, after a few seconds on high and then after a short while comes on for a few seconds and repeats, as if an auto reset circuit breaker is resetting. I have also replaced the blower motor thinking the original was drawing too many amps as well as another resister. Still cuts out if I run higher than about med speed.

Dude, the amount of knowledge in that cranium of yours is incredible! Who says the trades are easy? If we could convert your knowledge and common sense to a measureable index it would be greater than a law degree or a doctorate in phylosophy. Sorry, that might not be a compliment now that I think about it. Anyway, it amazes me how much you know and how creative your brain is so you can troubleshoot so many things. Thanks for the enjoyment.

The traverse/Acadia/enclave/outlook is the biggest POS platform ever. The list of common major issues is appalling, plus every one that enters my shop has 5 other random major issues. It's so bad that every time I call a customer and give them a list of what's wrong with their Acadia I'm afraid that they will think I'm lying and trying to scam them.

I had one of these things last week. Same thing hot on driver's side and would stick in Defrost. It ended up with a bad controller and a bad mode door actuator. It had been to another shop ( I think it was their neighbor actually not a shop) she got it back with problems. I figure he messed around and spiked the system. Garbage vehicles.

All I'm going to remember about this video is your nose hair. It actually looked like it was a protruding claw. of some little beast poised to ambush it's prey and then retract into your nose to feast as the prey fights, in vain, to free itself from nose hair claws.

Patdon me Rick, but I long for the days when cars heater controls worked with cables, instead of burnt out chinese actuators, made out of plastic. keep up the good work, and explanations of proper troubleshooting procedures.
