Chevrolet Malibu: Brakes & A Front Wheel Bearing Joseph: Brakes are gravy train for the most part, unless you're working on light trucks or work/delivery vans. I think the reason why everyone likes watching them, is to see the different kinds of hardware and caliper designs the manufacturers use. It's easier for someone to do their own brake jobs at home on some jackstands in the driveway or garage when they have a general idea of what everything looks like and comes apart before they start taking it apart.

People who go out of their way to be overly rude do so because they have never been called on it. They are bullies. As such, when I encounter one of them, I will go out of my way to stop what I'm doing and ask them directly who the hell they are talking to like that. Most will immediately empty their bladder and reasses their foul attitude. If more folks confronted the crappy demeanor, less people would be treated like that by these self righteous narcissists.

I didn't realize that the car was slightly lifted when Mrs. O nailed the gas and spun the tires. I thought she was brake-torquing the car and expected smoke to pour off. I guess I've watched too many NHRA events lol. That and actually doing that to my parent's cars when I was a teen. That's the main reason I bought both of my kids their own cars (junkers, of course) when they got their license. Love the video as always, Mr. O.

I've always wondered if because of the crown in our roads if most of the time the right front goes bad first. With all of the road salt, I would think that the heaviest concentration of salt would be on the outside edge of the road. What do you think Eric? If you like video games try War Thunder it's free. You can drive WW2 tanks, planes, and ships. PS. Vanessa never ages always an eye treat. lol

Thank you Eric for saying what most of us are feeling about humanity. Watching you work and deal with problems is like therapy for me and I try to take your work ethic and craftsmanship with me each day to work as I deal with daily mechanical/people issues. You are one of the Good Old Fashion Mechanics that we know and love. Thanks so much to you and Mrs. O for your videos.

I notice that you don't use alot of anti seize on your bolts and I am curious as to your thoughts on this especially when you have lots of rust there and loyal customers that will be back for service at some point. I know it is more work and cost but for commonly replaced items like brakes I would think that it would be a plus for you. Just curious.

Those who are determined to be offended will discover a provocation somewhere. We cannot possibly adjust enough to please the fanatics, and it is degrading to make the attempt.
