Being retired disabled from a industrial accident and having to learn to live on disability pay you cut things like the internet. Thus, you do everything on a cell phone. Due to the old eyes and small screen actually seeing some stuff if hard. Now add physical limitations to where you have to wear an earpiece. Those extremely loud noises will make your eyes water. LOL. 30-plus years in industrial maintenance took a toll on the ears. 6 or 8 years as a mechanic in several shops. I am fascinated with the electrical on newer vehicles along with the tools available to check them. I would like to see Eric get some of the tools that some of the other influencers recommend and try them, give an honest review. Personally, i can not afford an autel. Something like the Kingbolen K7 that the mobile mechanic is recommending. Once the reviews are done, he could have a giveaway. Take everyone who has bought his merchandise between point A to point B and draw a name, and that person gets the item. Win-win situation. He gets content, sells more merchandise, and as word spreads, he is giving tools away it should grow his subs. Just a thought. Is there anyone else who thinks this something his subs would like to see happen?

Having been raised in a garage family and worked part time in an independent garage when i was going to trade school for my toolmaker cert. i miss the air driven tool noises. Thanks for that volume adjustment joke. Loved it! The video was a great reminder of the rust belt under car options, mud in the drain. And the dirt and rust falling off when hammering off the bearing! We in upper New York are sitting on the wrong side of the camp fire? Question; are you greasing the tie rod end while you are there, we who worked in the old service station used to and obviously nobody greased that one in a while.

Lug nuts? It comes from Scandinavian for something that sticks out and can be pulled slowly and strongly like a tuft of hair or even someone's ears. Then from the Scottish in which lugs were flaps on a bonnet which covered the ears, hence pulling someone's ear lugs to annoy them: -) Looks like the Canadians have got a huge smoke leak in their environmental system; I think it's going to take more than a new switch to rectify things before the Jet Stream goes back to bringing normal weather.

It seems like each vehicle has a few of the usual suspects of bolts that rust and become one with their attachment, making the repair a total PITA.
When the car is brand new, wonder if it would it be worth going through and giving those evil bolts a coat of some sort of grease/protectant to make those repairs easier?
A new service provided by SMA, preservice to save you money. Imagine how nice it would be to work on a car with no rust or fluid leaks.

I see again you aren t wearing hearing protection or eye protection. With the smoke in the upstate area you should be wearing a mask too or using an air filter to clean the air. I m not surprised that you re not doing that either. They ll be a day when you are deaf, blind in at least one eye or coughing/wheezing, maybe all of them. Eric, why not take some protection measures?

Oy Vey, that s where I stopped. I know I missed many more. I ll bet you were ragging on Dodge too, like every car you work on.

TYVM Eric for the funny and flashback filled video, took me back to our horrific nationwide bushfire season of 2020 when my whole beautiful country was ablaze. Please keep healthy mate, we see on TV how bad those fires are so I hope you the lovely Mrs O and family and animals stay safe.

Eric, if I lived near you i would bring all of my vehicles to you. And, when you call me with your diagnosis and suggested repair i would ALWAYS say do it all.
Your integrity is beyond reproach and that is what I would willingly pay for.
Thank you for your excellent video's and the public service you provide.

The main difference between lug nuts and wheel nuts is that lug nuts are designed to be tightened by hand, while wheel nuts are designed to be tightened with a wrench. Lug nuts are typically smaller than wheel nuts. Wheel nuts are typically made of steel, while lug nuts can be made of steel or aluminum.

I heard you Eric! you actually admitted that changing bearings on both ends of an axle was sensible! I hold that unless you are penniless and doing the job yourself, it is nearly essential! I wouldn t want to pay for the hoist every time. And by the same logic get the brakes done at the same time!

Great video! I loved the mid-video blooper reel! lol! You might need a new grinder. BTW, notice how the wild fires have emitted more junk into the atmosphere than all the diesel engines ever created, and no one wants to put an additive into whatever Canadians eat?

25: 05 Uh oh, sockets still sliding right off the longer astro impact. Bummer if those retaining rings didn't work out, or if I guessed wrong and that's actually your 3/8 long astro impact. I just ordered some 3/8 rings that are coming your way. Don't get mad

I use grease on the cv shaft splines and the hub hole so if you ever have to change that bearing again comes off with 1 hit with a hammer. I don t use anti seize because if that hub ever gets hot from say a sticking caliper it will turn into jb weld

I recently replaced the left front bearing on my van. No play on any wheel and no noise at low speed but from the change of noise when steering it was obviously on the front left.
Next, i changed the right front and the noise went away.

I was looking at satellite loops yesterday, and have never seen the smoke plumes quite that bad, even when the fires on the west coast were raging. We even have bad haze down here in Tennessee. Hope Canada gets a handle on that soon.

In my experience with Chryslers, the fuel filler neck is more likely to leak than the filler cap. Your first clue is when filling the tank the gas splashing on the ground starts turning the soles of your shoes to mush.
