Chevy Tahoe: Upper Control Arm And A Press In Lower Ball Joint Amanda: I've got an 18 Buick Encore, and the check engine light periodically comes on. The last and only thing I had replaced was a solenoid. Why do you think this happens? Seems to shift differently at times.

I'm always amazed at how smoothly these jobs go, with both finesse and brute ugger-dugger force involved in the shop.
For the home mechanic it may well be wise to have the same kit as EricO here before you even attempt control-arm &/or ball-joint replacement.

Thanks for the video, Mr. O. Did ya remember to put the grease zerk on the new ball joint? : D EDIT: Of course you did! That's what I get for commenting while still watching the video.

Video turned out great!
Thanks for the info on the parts, I'll be looking them up.
What's your opinion on Moog parts?
They don't seem to be what they were years ago.

I was wondering I've never seen anyone use oil for ball joint installation? Why not a little lubrication to help the ball joint press in Easley? Thanks for your time Mike

Recommend too the guy he put all this money into the tahoe if he really likes it so much too have it sprayed down under it so it will last oil bath.

Perfectly engineered to have just enough room to need to remove the engine to change a headlight bulb. Great work as always Mr. O
