I don't see how the Peugeot 3008 competes with the Genesis GV60 in any way. I knew this would happen to the segment, though. Almost as an apology for being electric, early EVs were just crammed with enough batteries/motors to give them overcompensating performance to draw the petro-heads in. Then the hipster, milquetoast tech-drones decided that front wheel drive & the aw shucks sub-200hp engines are sufficient. Well, how GREEN of you, Poindexter! It's already started with the Hyundai Kona - gutless EVs for the domesticated, apologetic, soulless mobs of the driving dead. Nobody likes Elon, not even Elon. But he's at least putting some power in his EVs. It took what, a decade & all the life has been sucked out of the EV industry When did just enough become the most desired I'm not talking 1200hp Plaids here, but whatever happened to 400hp, AWD EVs Take the bus instead, then. Driving is supposed to be a LITTLE fun sometimes.
Is this drab, generic wish I were a minivan offering REALLY the sum of the industry in France I'd always been a fan of the 207/307 hatch designs from Peugeot, but neither Peugeot or Renault put the French on the map for anything lately. I mean jeez, even Toyota put out a 300hp hatch & they can't make them quickly enough. Some of us still like performance, and we notice how cars are ballooning in size. Saw a Crosstrek the other day that was bigger than two early-gen Foresters.

I don't know but this looks waaay worse than the previous generation that in my opinion looked reasonably good. Car designers insanely overstyle every single car nowadays, i guess the thinking is that they must do this to emerge from the competition. But you won't because all the competition does this overstyled crap too lol. So it's a lose-lose situation.
I have the feeling that cars and car design is just getting worse and worse, and bulid quality and necessary features all peaked latest in the early-mid 2010s. My 2012 c-class has no fake exhausts and overstyling, every single design feature has a function and the car still has pretty much all the electronics, navi, sign recognition etc. one can think of. The only thing i genuinely miss is a HUD and maybe adaptive tempomat. There are very few new cars on the market that i genuinely find attractive and would consider (even in 2-3 years as used) to replace my current car.

So they want us to go green and all buy electric cars. How do they encourage this They make them more expensive to buy, don't provide a decent infrastructure to enable us to charge them without having to stress that there'll be a charge point available and make them as expensive to run as the equivalent ICE version. I hired a Tesla to go go Scotland just to try it out. It cost me more to pay for charging the damn thing than my wife paid for fuel for our petrol BMW for the whole trip. The more I see these things the more of a gimmick and con it seems to be.

God, I wonder how much it would cost to replace that trapezoid of a screen. The integration of it is also not the greatest. Whatever happened to having housings surrounding the gauge clusters in cars these days Not only does the lack of a housing for the gauge cluster make interiors look sterilized and cold. The lack of a gauge cluster housing means there are more chances for glare, which isn't ideal.

It's so expensive because legacy car brands don't know how to make an EV for profit. They lose money on every model. it should be cheaper. There's no excuse other than they took so long to start making EVs ither companies like, zeekr, tesla, BYD, et al are at least 10 years ahead. there's only about 25 moving parts in an EV. Batteries are cheaper yet STILL legacy car brands struggle.

Anyone into actual cars dont want to see crap electric cars that aren't good for the environment so stop trying to sell that lie 25 tons of ore for 1 cars battery and the emissions from production of electric cars is worse than driving a v12 for 100 thousand miles and thats before the electric car is on the road

This is an interesting vehicle for sure, but I wonder how many Brits can afford a $64K car with the current economy because even in the States it would make for a hard sale the way things are going with poor job salaries and the high debt people here have.

Ioniq 5 has exactly the same problem in the back with the batteries in the floor. The first gen Stellantis EVs were more clever with the battery placement but people don’t like it because somehow they were not built on real EV platforms, whatever that means

They need to put ICE or EV in the titles of these vids. If I click and discover the vid is about an EV. I just dislike and leave as soon as I find out. Thanks for wasting my time Carwow. I have absolutely ZERO interest in EVs.

I’m sorry, but I’m having a good cringe! I’m not into modern cars because I don’t like half of their designs. I would never have thought that a coupe SUV would be thought of as a nice car, but it is!

Why apologise about the car being an EV you think it makes you less manly or something What is the affair with ICE cars You like to go slower and louder So masculine. The narrative of EVs are lesser is hilarious.

Electric cars are just ridiculously expensive. Who's gonna buy one when the second hand value plummets so fast. Then eventually needs a battery replacement that costs half the price of the car when new. Its nuts.

Interesting that Matt was more positive on this car than its French rival, the Renault Scenic. French reviewers have favoured the Scenic - lighter, more practical, more dynamic. I do like the Peugeot’s interior.

Hi Carwow, I was thinking of buying a BMW 2 Series Active tourer since it has gotten a revamp. Can you consider doing a video about the new BMW 2 series active tourer. If you could it would help me a lot. Thanks.

Just like with other french cars. Wait for a year if you want to have it. You'll get it for 30% less and the first owner will save you the headache with issue you get when you buy a new car.

11: 20 This video demonstrates that when things are not paid for out of your own pocket, they are treated poorly. It's a bit like what happens in public administration.

it's impressive how they could ruin the entire look of the car with just a front grill to be fair. everything else looks good, but the grill is the first thing you see
