This is the new Audi Q3 SUV! There-s no denying that the new Q3 is one of the best looking small SUVs available today. But of course, those good looks don-t come cheap, with the price starting at around -30, 000! So is the Q3 worth the hefty price tag? Join Mat for his latest in-depth review to find out!

A) I have to say I am impressed that you pointed out on Android Auto you lose the function of displaying the map in the MFD. I was particularly annoyed when I figured out that it wouldn't do that and cancelled the order of my car just because that function would have been extremely useful for me at the time.
B) Secondly, you pointed out the bottles in the compartment in the middle blocks your access to the gear stick, the way around that is to lift the arm rest to its high position and drag it out as far as you can. It is a much more natural access to the gear stick with a rest for the arm (hence it being called the arm rest.
C) If Range Rover Evoque included the infotainment system qualities of this car and the ergo dynamics, it would be a must buy for me.
D) You really ought to state how brilliant LED lights on the newer car's are now. They're outstanding and make night time driving much much easier without impairing the vision of on coming traffic.
E) The numbering system on the back is so dumb I agree with your comments to the T.
F) Adaptive suspension is seriously worth the money if you intend on keeping the car for a long time and want a balance between fun driving in the country roads and driving around horrible road surfaces.
G) The older models of the Q3 handled bit poor, felt bit disconnected. So glad you compared the handling of the old and the new!
Great review. Your videos are the ones to watch when considering a purchase!

I would warn people not to buy this car. I just bought the new 2019 version and it stalls on me whilst driving. Audi couldn't find a fault even though warning menus came up after it shut down on me. So they are not will take the car back after 2 months of having under finance. They say its driver error and returned the car to me. I have been driving for over 35years and this has happened to me a few times. Can you imagine if this cuts out in the middle of the motor way. I'd be killed and so will others. Will Audi take this responsibility in endangerment to me my wife and kids and to other road users? On going battle with Audi who dont want acknowledge that clearly there is something wrong here because they found error come up in their diagnostics but are willing to gamble withe peoples lives.

I am not understanding Audi's digital cluster. The default is not fully functional but a barebone system that looks NOTHING like virtual cockpit. Then you have a hefty upgrade to a virtual cockpit, which once again is not the real deal, then you need to spend MORE to get the fully functional and adaptive virtual cockpit. Same with the centre console on the German configurator you can actually buy an Q3 with a HOLE in the middle then is the 8- option, 10- and lastly 12 inch.
It is VERY confusing and there is no, brochure, site, location where you can see what you are actually buying as none of the options are illustrated correctly. If you know of -a- place would be grateful if you could share.

Hmmmm. I'll STILL take my 2019 MAZDA CX 5 GT Reserve with a 2. 5 L. turbo four and AWD for US $36, 000. before taxes. (My price negotiated from a $37, 000. MSRP. and with a 0. 9% MAZDA loan. (Las Vegas, NV, USA)
My GT Reserve is faster 0 - 60 than the 2. 0L Audi, has more room and handles at least as well and hell, even looks better. And yes, gentle readers, the interior is luxurious and beautifully appointed. Apple Car Play and Android Auto among many other amenities. Too bad Audi can't match Mazda's reliability. Consumer Reports rates it well above the Audi.

Diving one at the moment, rubbish engine, 1. 5 TFSI, the tec is great but very distracting and dangerous. and fingerprints are awful. bring back the wheel of trust. tried to use the voice control not great. looks ok but Audi why do you need a Q2, Q3, Q5, Q7, and Q8, too many and 35 miles per gallon in the real world, isn't very good, I give the car 6 out of 10, big Audi fan but you're missing a trick with this very underpowered version. sorry

Mat, a question on the engines for Q3: I know in the detailed review you talked a bit about the TFSI and TDI. I am interested in the 150 hp Stronic. Want a diesel due to better mileage but not sure about the DPF regen and if it will be fine. Mostly drive in city (around 35-40 km / day) with one highway trip (70 kms return) on the weekends. I have never owned a diesel so your insight will be useful.
By the way great video as always -

Is it me, or are cars getting really boring, I can't tell the difference between the Q3, Q5 and the Q7 just looks like a fat version of the Q whatever, SUV means you've given up on liking cars and you just enjoy the status of sitting higher than everyone else used too, Electric is the way, but not just some big fat lump of electric SUV, but a drivers car, one that's quick, handles well, and not such a drain on the earths resources

We have a wolfsburg edition 45 engined q3 and although its a great car, the fuel consumption is disgraceful.
27mpg, average mph 22, over 5000 miles.
An R8 is not much different!
I would never have traded in our sq5, for this had i known how bad the consumption was.
Might as well have bought the petrol sq5 and it would have probably cost the same in fuel, with nearly 100 hp more!

How can you not have quick rear seat release buttons in the trunk? Even Low end SUVs have them, there are quite a few things not to like about this car. The key ones for me are the lack of responsiveness (transmission) and noisy engine. As a potential owner those negatives would be a constant annoyance.
