Whilst the Mountune upgrades are impressive, for the money you-re spending I-d want warranty and peace of mind for running a car over a long period of time. The boosted Golf is not designed for longevity under those stresses, whereas the RS3 definitely is.

Mk7. 5 DSG Golf R all the way. Buying mine here in the states actually within the next few months. On an APR stage 2 tune and intercooler upgrade, you-re looking at 1/4 at around 12 seconds. Not bad for a 2L!

Lots of crap about how the audi is more responsive here and the golf is there etc. Its probable more down to the responsiveness of the drivers right foot. Split second sooner or later on the gass

I dunno, I think I-d rather pay 10k more for the sound and keep my factory warranty. The way tunes go these days, you-ll be liable to pay for a new engine should it break.

I have a North American Golf R and the Stage 1 tune makes an incredible difference. The car just feels so much more eager to go than with the factory tune. All stock.

Stagge 1 ECU adn TCU tune with bigger Brakes. equals a car that cost 10K more LUL 10k more to spend on a Stage 2+ that will leave that RS3 in the rear view.

I think the reason why the mounttune Golf R kicked down better than the RS3 is probably because they reprogram the DSG gearbox because you can do that now
