I think what will happen within the next 5 years is. NIO will certainly dominate in China and take over as the EV leader for premium EVs, and also have a secure foothold in Europe. Tesla will probably remain the the leader in North America for the time being. I think Tesla will eventually struggle for top spot in North America as the the big North American automakers like GM, FORD, Chrysler will introduce their line of EVs as well. Then you have the Japanese that will flood the North American markets as well with there EVs. So, if I had to invest in an EV company, Id go with NIO, the Chinese market is the largest on the planet, they will make billions -

-carwow, I agree that the NIO looks amazing, and the technology is steller. China's automotive market is booming. However, my questions are 1. when will we see these cars in Europe and the US and other parts of the world? 2. They will have to set up alot of these battery swapping facilities. how easy is that to do? 0 - 60 times are for car reviews. I like the responsiveness of electric vehicles, they can get you out of a jam quick. but the reality is range. that is what I find impressive about the NIOs. I'd like to see the tariffs they put on these cars if they make it over to the US.

Just finished my intern job at NIO, if we don't look at the products that tesla n neo made, the customer services before and after u bought nio is way better tbh. Im not a big electric car fans but the experience that work in NIO actually surprised me. A lady bought a ES8 from us n drove back to her city she found that she cant actually charge her car on her parking space as the apartment manager refused to let her to set up a charger at her parking space, then she called us n asked our colleague, the NIO dealer decided to give her free batteries swap 4 times per week. I was impressed

Not convinced by the battery swap and battery lease options. Renault did a battery lease with the early Zoe models. I think people are quite possessive about their cars, I know I am, not sure I would want to swap out my battery pack for one of unknown provenance. Given how charge rates are improving all the time, and traction battery packs have been shown to be reliable (except early Leaf packs, I think most owners would not want to swap out the pack, or lease a pack.

Every Diesel car can do 600 miles on a tank, except the most compact cars. My Passat used to do 1200 miles on a single tank of Diesel. But. of course it's dirty and comparatively slow.
I'd buy that NIO in a heartbeat. Even if there are no battery-swapping stations, you can still recharge it 'normally' like any other EV. And I'm not as paranoid about China as many Americans (even though they get their iPhones from China.

Nio is selling most of his cars in China the biggest market for EV-s supported by their government which is building them NIO park for 50 billion dollars. China also has most of the row material for batteries -and the list goes on. The only think holding Nio back is Citadel shorting NIo for some
Bloody reason. But when they stop manipulating the stock Nio will run up to $100.

Tesla is dead. Think about if. They are using radar when everyone else wants to use lidar. And before anyone says anything Elon is going to fall flat on his face soon. Why? As the idiot can-t even get his car panels right, and nothing lines up. If you can-t do the basic task of a car then good luck. lucky run always runs out. Nio is going to tear Tesla apart

I hope they don't become the new Tesla which for some seems more like a religion than a computer/auto company. But another very visible CEO and creating NIO as a culture/lifestyle brand is kind of cringeworthy to me. The vehicles are terrific and seem to me to be of a much higher quality and more refined than Teslas are.

I dont know if i agree with that batteries swap. While it takes less than 10 minutes to basically fully charged the vehicle, the carbon emission when making those batteries is ALOT more when you driving a petrol/gasoline car. And one of the main purpose of electric car is producing less emission

Exiting with NIO, but investors in Europe have 5 -10 years ago allready lost millions trying to talk people into battery shifting stationes, and failed totally when Tesla at the same time offered the 500km range, and quick chargeable Model 3 Sedan to the market in EU. Game over for battery swap.
