Here it is, the first fully electric car to receive the BMW M division treatment- Introducing the BMW i4 M50! Mat-s got his hands on this all-new M EV and he-s taking it on a test across Germany to see if it can really go toe-to-toe with some of BMW-s best petrol-powered performance cars. Want to know the basics? Well for starters, there-s no denying that the i4 looks seriously impressive & can easily match up to the M3 in the style stakes. The interior is equally just as nice, but then again, it-s no surprise given it-s built on the same platform as the M3. As for performance, well the i4 M50 can once again match up to the M3, delivering a power output of 544hp & 795Nm of torque - both of which are increases compared to its petrol-powered compatriot! So it can equal both the looks and the performance- But is it really just as fun to drive once you-re out on the open road? Well

No front storage. I can control my Tesla from my Apple Watch. I can see my car cameras from my iPhone at anytime and much more. This is a pig with lipstick. Nothing really new technology wise and great for people who are simple. I have owned two bmw cars and after sitting years on the fence I bought a model Y performance. It-s does things that legacy automakers will not achieve for another 10 years because they are not a software company. The thing about cars is that the have been around for over 100 years so it will be easy for Tesla to improve the mechanical aspects of the car over time and in many ways have already passed legacy automakers in simplifying the manufacturing process. When it comes to software the legacy automakers don-t even come close. Their software is dated no matter how good you make the screens look. They outsource that work which is why you often have problems when apple updates their phones and then apple car play starts to glitch. I am sure people who are BMW people will buy this car, but after experiencing both I will not go back to BMW. It-s a dinosaur

People still mention steering feedback, its unimportant if you can feel the cars directional intentions under your seat. The m50 is both brilliantly clever but remains a dumb tool in a positive way as an M car. It feels venomous and childish but also the BMW engineering keeps you in check on the road, the most remarkable thing about this BMW is when you switch to slow and sensible through a village the car still feels utterly in its place and you as the driver are sat waiting to leave the area to continue being silly playing with your new style m car that vomits character as soon as your left alone with it.

Why do you feel the need to fellate Tesla's in every EV video? If you were honest you'd admit they're good, but the build quality is shite. The only reason they get so much love is because they were first.
Everyone thought the Beatles were the best rock band in the world. They weren't, they were just first.
Sort it out for christ sake. It's incredulous. Anyone who really knows cars knows you're talking out your arse mate. It's affecting the trust in both you and the brand.

The crash pads for the high-voltage battery may not have been assembled. This can cause damage to the high-voltage battery in the event of a serious side crash and may cause a short-circuit increasing the risk of a fire.
The BMW i4 vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 15 September and 30 November 2021.
BMW recall code: 61430600
Affected models: i4.

For m3/m4 beating performance (0-60) & more relevant right now, MPG!
Traffic Light Grand Prix every single time. It-s got the fuel costs of a small diesel car.
And no crazy servicing costs, if you have owned a m3/m4 you know exactly what I-m talking about. You take this in once a year to make sure your wind screen washer fluids are good, and the ac is gassed up.

I-ve always said the day the decide to put EV motors in NORMAL looking cars and not exaggerated, space looking, hover car wannabe looking crap, then they will sell like crazy and more of the younger community would gravitate towards them. Finally BMW makes this! Huge step in my eyes I would gladly buy this! (I own a 2022 M440i, and 2018 M2 N55)

From what I have seen in this video this BMW i4 M50 is an excellent EV! Modern looking design on the outside, luxurios interior enhanced with some stylish and responsive high tech elements, and performance with not much to be sorry about, save for the battery capacity. All in all this is a top contender in the field!

Acceleration is now, and will forever be, the domain of electric vehicles.
Anything that comes close to beating an EV -supercar- costs 5x more to buy and 10x more to service every year. Also, it's tough to take 4 people to the supermarket in a Veyron.

sorry but that is a poor effort from BMW, for an M sport it doesn't look aggressive, just looks like a bog standard sportback with a shed load of ugly plastic stuck on it. And 17 inch alloys on a car that size will look weird. Nah, not for me!

It's the best looking EV on the market now. Just a shame it doesn't have physical buttons for climate control. And I don't like how the screen is fixed. Anyway, if I had to buy an EV, that would be my choice.
