I'm not a fan of the lines, it looks like a piece of origami. Particularly that long sweeping line from the bonnet down to the rear wheels, it builds up the front too much which is the opposite of what you want in a sports car. The design is way too complicated and trying too hard to look modern. The headlights don't work at all and it's bloated as hell. And the back looks like they sliced the end off, it's just rectangular which works in older designs but not in this futuristic design. And why couldn't they stick with the iconic circular rear lights? They need to pull a 400z and go back to the classics, those designs worked and giving the r36 a retro vibe would surely do a lot for marketing. Even better if they go back to a tunable inline 6, the V6 engine is use currently is fantastic don't get me wrong but a balanced rugged i6 is part of the identity of the skylines

I owned a 1991 Nissan skyline R32 GTR coupe, gun metal grey full spoiler kit! Lol I-ve never been so excited then the day I went to purchase and bring that baby home. I saved so hard bought it cash for $11, 000 back in 1998! It would be worth over $100, 000 now. There was a stop sign or red light that is pull up to without someone wanting to give me a run for my money! I blew them off every time. I loved that car. Not one problem with it, best car I have ever owned, it looked after me and I cried when I had to sell it. Two babies in the back of a coupe was t ideal. At 270 hp that is nothing in todays market but it was fun at the time: )

So not a hater, BUT it is FUGLY. The r35 was never beautiful to me, but it's design was cohesive and everything looked purposeful. This new design looks like a fish in its 60s with a facelift one might categorize as. severe. It also reminds me of the mid 90s Mitsu Eclipse, only fat. or what it would look like if it was a balloon.
I'm sure it will have eye watering performance etc etc. But so do nitrous fueled lawnmowers.
Someone do something.

i think we all want Skyline beaty back - R35 is not a good looking car to me, R32 and R33 was beatiful masterpiece and then big boy showed up and bringed most aggressive bumper i have ever seen ( and took my love from me ) - modern cars feel like you are going to cut yourself just from looking on that sharp bodyworks. :( and less amount of computers and electricity in cars making them truly perfect too

The tail lights and wing is savage, but with the 400z being one of the coolest looking cars I-ve seen in years I would like to see some wider body design maybe rear vents on the wheel arches and thicker fins on the diffuser. The front needs to say - R36- in a way that doesn-t feel like an upgraded -R35-

The image of the R36 Nissan GT-R you displayed in this video is hideous. Ugly beyond words and it looks like Nissan went out of their way to make it as unappealing as possible. Too bad, I was really hoping that the R36 would be as visually appealing as it is fast.

Favourite GTR? R32. Why? Because it decimated everything it saw and was nicknamed Godzilla. As for the R36, I'm hoping it has 725-750 bhp, using hybrid technology. This will bring it right into line with the latest supercars, as was its place previously.

Matt, you're scaring me describing the digression of the GTR. I do agree that the R33 GTR is the best of the RB GTRs. Lighter than the R34, and handles better than both the R32 and R33; and it seats 4 persons in great comfort, especially those in the rear.

i like the back but the front doesnt look intimidating like i think most would hope, it looks like more electric, it needs to look beffy and strong and wide while also looking clean and not over the top, like the new supra ridiculous and soo extra.

Too heavy, too heavy, too heavy. Add lightness and you won't need all that thirsty engine power to make it go.
Bring it in with some advanced composites in the body and chassis at around 1500-1700KG and it will be a much nicer car to drive.
