No matter how Volkswagen (AKA Porsche) market it and irrespective of how much they paid you for this promotional video, it will still be a luxury tourer and not a True sports car that it represents. Volkswagen actually killed this brand the moment they took charge of Porsche. No matter what fancy ways they market their cars now but all their models post 997/987 gen are big compromises and MISSING the following:
1. Hydraulic Steering of 997/987
2. Long Travel Brakes of 997/987
3. 'Hand' brake of 997/987
4. Short Wheelbase (Nimbleness) of 997/987
5. Sports car Dimensions of 997/987
6. Raw feel of 997/987
7. True & Realtime RAW feedback of 997/987
8. Analog buttons with tactile feedback of 997/987
9. Analog dials and gauge cluster of 997/987
10. Better Visibility (Low Shoulder Lines) of 997/987
11. Pinky Lai Design and killer looks of the 997/987
Oh did I mention that 997/987 was the last gen of Porsche that was a TRUE SPORTS CAR? Post that VW took over Porsche and replaced everything with VW/Audi components and their greed for profits killed all the essential elements that make a Porsche a PORSCHE. Now they only make 'Luxury Tourers' disguised as Sports cars and there are rich dummies who buy them thinking they bought a sports car, lol. #ShameOnPorsche!

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia: -(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too. as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils. California and New York will do the same from 2027 on. So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer. They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (Babvvo law )!

Matt, once all the manuals are out of production, we will all be praising them. That Porsche probably has one of the best manual boxes ever created, I am sure it is fast and precise. Why not celebrate the fact that it may be one of the last manuals in a Porsche, instead of dissing it the whole time? Once we get self driving, electric, speed limited, soulless cars. you will remember driving this Porsche very well.

Wow Matt, you criticized manual way way too much. This is a car for casual old style driving, and not mindless daily commute or high performance track driving.
This car is for weekend fun drive with last manual Porsche in old styling. Why would you care about it s clutch if this is exactly what you want to experience with this?

They're asking 90k USD extra over the turbo for a detuned engine and a trim pack. Seems like a weird mix of an ultra modern engine meant for maximum performance yet detuned with a manual gearbox and rwd which make it even slower. The naturally aspirated manual gt3 touring is probably better for that classic 911 experience.

10: 35 lifting off creates bubbling rumble in a classic 930 and foolishly we thought it was a defect when we bought it used and took it next day to a Porsche center to get it repaired.
It was the cheapest visit ever as they did not charge us anything for saying It is a cool feature not a default: ).

Although a manual is awesome and this should just be a car in the normal line up. This engine doesn t soot a manual the best, it has too much torque which leads to short power bursts that would otherwise be seamless in an automatic. The GT3 on the other hand can really be revved out with the manual.

I'll bet it was amazing to drive. I thought the badging was a little over-the-top, but I could live with it for all the other features (particularly that brilliant Duck Tail. Bottom line, if I had the money, I'd be calling my local Porsche dealer to place my order (I know; Get in line, right.

I absolutely love the look of the Sport Classic, especially the ducktail spoiler. I also like the look of the Targa Heritage edition and it s classic Targa body style, but if I was buying one myself (and could actually afford it, I think I d go for a Carrera S with a few options.

Didn't the RS3 do 3. 63 when tested here? So if you're in your RS3 and a 911 Sport Classic is next to you at the lights you can just laugh at them in your rear view mirror.
The number, Porsche on the side and stripe are horrible. Why spoil a 911 with rubbish like that?

So it costs more than Lamborghini Huracan? Ok. But I want a new option, not a silver or chrome trim around windows but a BRUSHED (titanium color) trim, lets just call it brushed metal trim. I'm tired of all the shiny trims, looks like someone glued a mirror tape to a car

I'm really excited before watching Matt's video. I was disappointed in the interior, wrong manual gearbox, low powered engine. I loved the ducktail - well that's all i thought was good. I be much happier with the previous 911 R. This one is 911 R-ubbish

Pricing is kind of irrelevant though, as Mat said, sport classic is sold out but a 992 turbo s used will cost atleast 200k as Porsche has added a premium to all their approved used cars, and they won t sell you a turbo s without a 2 year wait

Wow. It's really slow and that is really surprising. And 273k? Absolute ROBBERY and a 'collector's car'? Nonsense. Buy 2 1973 911S's and you've got a 'collection' worth more in fun than this thing will ever be. A rare Porsche fail.

The motorcycle rider is doing that to warm all of his tyre grip. When driving on straight roads for a while, only the middle of the tyre is warm and has more grip. Doing that 'wiggle' warms the whole tyre.
